    My spouse and I are still waiting for an interview assignment in Ciudad Juarez, but based on announcements we've seen in FaceBook, we are hopeful to receive a notification of an interview date in February or March. Our DQ date was February 12, 2025. I'll announce here when we finally get an interview date assigned.

    Welcome to our thread @Cristina0123. My DQ date is February 12, 2025; so, I expect we will both receive our appointment assignments soon. Based on my data, I expect to receive a notification in March 2026. I saw some people with January DQ dates receiving appointments this month; so, it's not unreasonable to hope for a notification in February. My spouse is Mexican and lives in Guadalajara. I am in Mexico a lot; so, we see each other regularly. My home is in Seattle, WA. Waiting over two years has been grueling, but hope is starting to spring forth as we approach 1 year from our DQ date.

    Happy January and Happy New Year. Today, I saw lots of announcements from people receiving their appointments in Ciudad Juarez for Documentarily Qualified (DQ'd) dates between November 29, 2024 to January 27, 2024. Below you can see my updated data charts. The average wait times chart is updated with new baselines for 2026. The gauges go red if average time to assign an interview climbs to over 450 days or average time for an appointment grows to over 550 days. The Observations gauge is reset to go green when I get more than 70 observations from real cases. Below you have a graph showing all my data points. X-axis shows the date the couple was documentarily qualified and the y axis shows the days they waited from DQ'd date to interview assignment. The trend is holding pretty steady at around 400 days.

    Hello @UScitizen2023, I've been tracking Ciudad Juarez interviews and I've seen some people with Documentarily Qualified dates in January 2025 receiving appointment notifications.  I wanted to reach out and ask if you've received a notification of interview assignment.

    Hello Friends. I have updates based on December interview assignments. I've received reports of applicants/petitioners for IR-1 with DQ'd dates November 25, 2024 receiving interview assignments on December 25, 2025. For applicants with DQ'd dates between August 2025 and November 2025, the average wait time for interview assignment has been 406 days based on 17 examples - people I personally spoke to in facebook, forums, or here. Here is a summary of all the data I have collected - 31 examples of people I directly spoke with. Here are all the examples I have in graphical form.

    @AndreaJR, Congratulations! Your wait was 403 days from DQ date to Interview Assignment. That's right at the average I've been seeing for October and November.

    Hello @Cesarr. I hope you are doing well. I wanted to check with you to ask if you've received any news from the NVC? Some people with DQ dates in October have started to receive appointments. Did you receive a message?

      Hi Josh, sorry about the delay, the emails were going to spam. They approved our expedite request because my wife was pregnant. We got the interview email on July 2nd and the interview in Juarez was on August 4th. We got approved and are living in the US now. Thank you for all your help in organizing this, it was very helpful! Let me know if you need anything else.

      @Cesarr That is wonderful news! Congratulations, and I hope the pregnancy is progressing perfectly. How wonderful it will be to greet your new child into your new home together there in the US! 

      Each week, my spouse and I are dreaming about our future as we continue to wait. We have so much waiting for us there in Seattle, and I can't wait to share everything with Antonio.

    Hello friends. Here is my update for November. Interviews assigned in October and November had an average wait time from the DQ'd date to interview assignment of 405 days. The trend is ticking up slightly from an average.

      @Josh B K Great news-we received our appointment a few days ago! We are set for the interview on January 6th and ecstatic!!! 😁 Sorry for the delay, we've been traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday.

      Oh, I'm so excited to hear that. Can I ask you if you recall the exact date you received the notification for the interview? Was it Nov 22? 

      I can say that you had an extraordinarily long wait, Johanna. 
       

       

      Was there anything unique or special about your application? Spouse is Mexican? You are a US Citizen? You are married applying for CR/IR-1 ?

      We received it Nov 18.  I don't believe there is anything particularly special about our case. My spouse is Mexican, I'm a citizen, and we're applying for IR-1.  I tried to find some kind of answer as to why ours was taking so long and didn't find anything.  The only thing that prevented me from panicking was seeing a few others from FB groups with similar DQ dates in the same situation.

    Friends, here is another chart I made from the data I've collected. It shows the DQ'd dates of the couples I've spoken to on the x-axis and the time they waited before receiving their interview date. You can see the line is trending upward slightly, but only just a little. The wait is just under 400 days for the most recent data.
