  1. Also when scheduling interviews they like to call that administrative processing, I remember that on my k3 when I called the visa specialist to find out if I had an interview date she told me your k3 is under administrative process still so therefore there is no interview again I freak out but I remember what happened when I was at NVC so I asked her what that meant and she said at the embassy they were uploading the case to their system and reviewing it and until then that is called administrative processing to call back later.

  2. Paris in the last stage of your CR1 process AP doesn't mean the same as the one that was holding your k3. they also call administrative processing to completing the case and sending it to the final review. I remember I freak out when I called nvc and was told to wait as my case was under administrative processing I was like WHY!!! and the operator told me that's all I could say to you and hang up I started crying but then I call back in Spanish and the operator told me that they were working still on my case and that was called administrative processing but that it should be completed in a few days and it was true two days after I called and my case was completed. so don't be scared, and also its a good thing that the k3 went to the embassy, soonest your cr1 gets completed here contact the embassy to switch the petitions so the cr1 could take the place of the k3.

  3. hi all,

I'm trying to get my father to apply for citizenship but as I was going trough the application I noticed that it asks for the address of all his kids. my father was married 45 years ago with another lady and had one son, but after divorce the kid didn't forgive my father and since then my dad has never seen his son, I don't know him I have never seen him none of our family members know where he could be at so what should I do what information should I put on his application. please help.

  4. my best advice wait until you get a confirmation from them could be the AVR the email or the hard copy. because sometimes the system lets you pay the $400 online and then the next day the payment bounce back as it works on two different systems and even tough one shows that the choice of agent is accepted the other is still sending the confirmation to the agent and this causes conflict. don't rush! give it one more day.

  5. Paris could you pursuit both? I did my CR1 at NVC and let the k3 get the interview first. then I asked to change the interview to CR1 instead but surprisingly my CR1 got interview date 10 days before the k3. if you work fast at NVCk you will get an interview at the same month you were going to get your k3. think about it! NVC is not hard i did it in 15 days counting holidays and weekends. and my husband got IR1 :)

  6. as some of you know we were supposed to get CR1 because we have been only married for one year but instead got IR1 stamped on his passport and some of you told me to verify first and make sure before POE if that was correct or not. well guess what it was correct it seems that the interviewers have the decision whether they will give you CR1 or IR1. and at POE nothing was asked and on the stamp the guy wrote IR1. we were not asked not even one single question just signed a form and do the fingerprints and a big congratulation. i just wanted to share this with you guys. by the way my husband is really having a good time here in NYC. Good luck to all in this journey and if anyone needs help let me know ;)

here are some pics of our religious wedding we were married by the civil law only and now we recently did it trough the church.
