Congratulations!!!!! On a Saturday????? Or did you just check?
We got touched last night at 5pm Texas time and then this morning at 9am I got the email.
They most likely approved last night and then the system didn't update the auto-gen'd email until today...that's what I am thinking. The email said that on 8-08-2008 they approved us, so that's right, I guess...they probably don't work on Saturday.

So I checked my application, I didn't fill that out, like I thought.
I'm a dingbat.
Look at the bright side, at least yours will generate an RFE with no decision being made until you check off that stupid box.
My case status is currently "denied" while they review how well I checked off that stupid box.
I guess because I received an "approval", it was probably some procedural deal where it had to be overturned then they allow me to supply additional information. But it does stink having a blue piece of paper that says "denied."
I would rather be in your shoes, though I am sure that my feet would hurt.

I am so sorry to hear that you got a status change after receiving your NOA2. Dear don't worry everything will be back on track soon. We all look at you for being so strong and a guiding force for everyone of us. I wish that this hurdle in your path will get over soon and you get a good news faster....

CONGRATULATIONSSSSSSSSSSSSS . I am so happy for you that you got your NOA2 finally. As our dates are almost similar , we are hoping that ours must be on its way. I am actually getting really impatient these days. There have been couples who had thier NOA1 dates way after us & have got thier approvals ( I am happy for them though no doubt !!! ), & we are still waiting for ours to come...... I pray to GOD everyday to send our approval as well.

Well, I got my approval today.
Actually, it was emailed to me at 7:45 PM, on July 3rd. I really wish that someone else had received it before me. Don't get me wrong, I am not giving it back.
But, I know how stressful this has been for some really super nice people here on our April thread. I really hope that a boat load of approvals arrive this week for everybody.

I have really enjoyed the previous Vermont posts and wanted to make sure that there was an April thread for us. And hopefully, we will all enjoy the continued torrid pace at Vermont.
I am wishfully thinking that there will be fewer submissions in April, thus faster processing. In part, because the tax deadline is April 15th, and people might be pre-occupied with tax returns. I wonder if there is a historical trend as to which months have the least submissions?

At last i found out some one who is also an April Filer. Thanks for starting this thread.
I have been reading VJ posts from quite a long time & VJ has helped me & my Fiance prepare ourselves for this long battle before we start our lives together. Our application was last touched on April 26th 2008 & since then we are still waiting for our NOA2. I hope that the Vermont centre processes our applications with a faster speed ( they seem to be fastest amongst other centres that's what i got to know !!!!!!! ). Yeah & fewer submissions means faster responses from them hopefully!!!!!!!!.
Thanks once again Brian for providing us with this awesome information. You surely do a lot of research work .:-)Hopefully we all should get our approvals sooner. Praying to GOD for that............

Thanks to everyone and I hope everyone will be with their loves ones sooner then we expect. I just wish for all to be with their families and live a happy life. Hopefully things will be better. If not., then everything else in life can go to hell.

No worries dear, we all are sailing in the same Boat. Patience will pay sooner. Just keep praying to GOD. And I hope You be with your loved one sooner. Coz when u see two hearts beating for eachother& but this dammm distance keeps them apart..... that Sucks though..... but God will listen to our prayers.
Me & my BF applied for K1 visa before we could meet eachother & landed up in having a rejection letter instead. But we did not loose hope. We met eachother in December 2007 & then again in Jan 2008 & now we have successfully submitted a new K1 visa application with another Goddamm check of $ 455.00. Still waiting for the new case number......... We have great hopes this time & praying to God to give us Good news soon..........So don't loose hope, everything will be fine......

I wanted to know how vj members think about our waitting for visa?
we wait without knowing when this beautifull call is comeing from the dhl guy . we sleep and dream about it and every morning we wake up and nothing. how it feel to have your whole life on hold for a phone call and whats really so hard is chatting online with your love look at the cam wish that u can touch her hold her hand and u cant , and hours go so slow
without her so fast with her. im here waitting and it kill me day after day untill i can be with her again
i wish everyone waitting to wake up tomorrow with they phone ringing (DHL)
Ohh dear... I guess all we people seems to be sailing in the same boat at this point. Me & finace too have filled our papers & waiting eagerly to get a +ve reply from the Visa guys. An d believe me this wait is really killing...... Every time we are talking to eachother over the phone, we just have one thing worrying us that when will that fine day come where we are together forever....

My fiance is getting ready to type up a letter of how we met. Has anyone got any tips on how this letter should look? We first met in a Scotland chatroom April 2006. Our first meeting in person was July 2006 in Toronto for 2 weeks, then again in Toronto end of August for 5 days. She has also made 2 visits to the UK. She isnt sure if this letter has to be detailed or just a brief one.

Me & my BF have filed for the same Fiance Visa. We wrote a small paragraph about the details of how we met. The letter is only meant to establish that you have physically met within the last 2 years.We wrote what ever could fit in to the given box. But to add to the benefit, you can attach 2-3 mails , a few pictures, chat details if any. Just to support your documents & saving time of them asking you the proof of your meeting.
Just be sure to provide the necessary info. That's all.

I was thinking that it would be great to get in touch with people who are filing for their K1 visas at pretty much the same time. How about we share our experience and frustrations until we finally make it through all those endless weeks and months of hoping and wishing?

Hi We too have filed our case through Vermont Service centre. While filling me & my Fiancee did not see the clause that we were suppose to have met before filling the case. Where in we met eachother after we filled the case & got a rejection letter instead :-(. But we were lucky that they replied in the letter that all the proof's & pictures state that we have met eachother in person, just as we did not meet before filling the case, we have to filled a fresh application with new fees attached. Bloody money suckers. ........... So now finally we have filed a new application ....... GOD knows how long we will have to wait before we get a green signal.
