  1. Hello! My husband had his CR1 visa interview May 8. Apparently he gave the wrong year for a divorce I went through prior to our marriage. He provided a certified copy of that divorce decree, it was the actual copy I was given the date my divorce was finalized. It had an official stamp from the court on the last page. We received an email the next day stating that the document we provided was not an "original" document and to bring the original document when possible. After some frantic google searches, I returned to the court in which I was divorced and was given a "triple certified" copy with a cover sheet and two official seals. I sent this document and he received it today and returned to the Embassy to turn it in. My question is, the email itself just stated to bring the "original" copy of the decree. I am confused as to why the stamp would not be considered acceptable. So could the issue be that he accidentally gave the wrong date?? I am just trying to understand what the actual issue is, the lack of communication is frustrating. Also, he was given a pink slip of paper with a specific date to return. They already took his passport. Is there any way to know if this is good or bad?? Thank you and good luck to all those in the same boat or still waiting!!
