  1. Yeah I am getting touched up a lot lately. Dirty bastards! If they're gonna tease me they might aswell go the whole way!

Thanks jeca for the signature advice. Sorry Paris, no approval to report yet but it's always good to get touched up - apart from the time they left me with that STD, no sorry I mean that RFE! Both diseases of some kind.

Talking of photos Sarah, does anyone know how to get your photo up on this profile? I sound like a right computer dumbass, that comes from being a PE teacher! I have tried several times but it says the file is too large.

    Come on VSC, approve us!

  2. Got another touch today. Is something happening or is Vermont just toying with me?

    Recent activity has been:

    I-130 Received at USCIS 10th Sept 2007

    I-130 NOA-1 27th Dec 2007

    I-129f NOA-1 18th Jan 2008

    I-129f touch 24/2/08

    I-130 touch 9/4/08

    I-129f touch 9/4/08

A couple of other touches on I-130 then:

    RFE!!! I-130 30/4/08

RFE info received and case resumed processing on I-130 8/5/08

    I-130 touch 9/5/08

Can someone tell me where I type the above time line in so that it comes up each time I post and I dont have to keep repeating it. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Dave

  3. Hey! So I just got an email from CRIS today informing me that they have received our evidence they requested and our case has resumed processing. So the whole RFE situation took 8 days for us. Not too bad really. I mean obviously it would have been better not to have got the RFE (they requested a certified copy of our marriage certificate, we sent a photocopy of the original) as I have not heard of anyone else getting an RFE for this. Oh well, it's done now and now we wait to see what happens next. Fingers crossed for an approval soon, hopefully a K-3 one!

    Cheers

  4. Thanks Paris - wish you well too. This bull#$%^ cant go on forever. But I sure am hoping for a K3 approval soon. I-130 would be nice but the K-3 is much needed as (as we all know too well) being apart from our wife or husband is really hard and its just not fair that we are still waiting when K-1 get approved daily. We are married!!!!!

    Good luck to you.

    Cheers

  5. Hey Paris.

Yeah I got an email from CRIS informing me of the rfe. Then when I went to the case status online to check my petition it said something like 'Request for Additional Information or Evidence Sent' instead of 'Case Received and Pending'. That was a week ago today that I received it so I am hoping for a quick turn around as we sent back the information they wanted 2 days ago. We'll see what happens.

  6. That really sucks about your lawyer. They get paid enough money so should know what they are doing. We have been lucky with our lawyer as they are pretty efficient. Anyway - I too had an rfe last week. Our lawyer got the paperwork on Monday and it was a request for a certified copy of our marriage certificate, we sent a photocopy of the original. Our lawyers office got the necessary paperwork inthe mail to Vermont on Monday so now we are waiting for touches or hopefully even the mythical 'approval'! I hope the I-129f gets approved. I dont get why so few are coming through Vermont right now when people have filed them and the whole idea is to bring spouses together sooner whilst the rest of the filing takes place. Please - approve my K-3!!!!!

    Good luck all.

  7. Hey Sarah! No way! I love Philly - the Phillies rock!

My wife and I will be living just outside Reading PA, I have thought about opening up a pasty shop - think the locals would love them. If I ever do you and your husband will be guests of honour in our shop. Think I'll be a PE teacher first though. I'm sure you'll be over there soon, it's just right now is hell for all of us.

Let the Cornish invasion of PA commence!

  8. Oh no! I fear I've caused everyone to start worrying about RFE's. Please dont! I'm sure this doesnt happen to everyone. I just got unlucky and hopefully it's resolved quickly anyway.

Thanks for the support Sarah. One day soon I will be flying the Kernow flag in Pennsylvania and introducing the locals to Pastys!

  9. Hi guys.

We got an RFE last Wednesday 30th April. Today our lawyer received the letter from USCIS and all they wanted was a certified copy of our marriage certificate. I believe we sent a photocopy of the original. This has already been sent back to them so hopefully we will be back in the game asap. I'll keep you all posted.

    Cheers

  10. Just an update for you all really. I have had 2 touches in the last 2 days on my I-130 (nothing on the I-129f, seems not to be unusual though) and the second one yesterday was the dreaded RFE! Hopefully nothing to worry about. Anyway, today I got yet another touch on my I-130. I thought this was supposed to be suspended until we gave them the extra info they want? Oh well! All I am saying is that things seem to be happening with our petition and hopefully it will be back on track in a couple of weeks when we sort the RFE. So for those of you with similar timelines if movement hasn't already happened then it should be very soon. Good luck!

    Dave

  11. RFE by email, so we have to wait for the hard copy to find out what its all about. Apparently that could take 10 days to arrive. I had a touch late last night just before going to bed on the I-130, and another today which was the RFE. Nothing on the I-129f since 9th April, which I think was an address change. Oh - I wonder if thats got something to do with it? Who knows, I'll guess I'll find out in a week or so and I will let you all know then. I do think you are right though Sarah Jayne and I'm sure things will start to happen soon. Jon - two days of touches can only be a good thing. You are well overdue and I bet you'll be telling us all of an approval in the next few days. I hope so!

  12. That would be great if you can post on this site when you find out, I will do the same. Gives us a good idea of the RFE timeframe. I dont think it holds us up for too long - it just seems like it right now as we are sick of waiting and days pass like weeks. Nice to know that your lawyer is working hard for their money! I too have a lawyer and hope that all is well. Then again a simple filing mistake can be easily and quickly resolved.

I'm sure you'll be fine and by the sounds of it approved soon. Good luck!

    Dave

  13. I am a K-3 filer but have had a couple of touches on my I-130 in the last 2 days from VSC. Today though I got an RFE. Dont know why but at least they must be working on our case. So Sarah Jayne may well be right about some approvals starting to come through as we are in that time frame she pointed out. Maybe they were ready to approve ours but wanted some extra evidence, and may well do it when we mail it back. I will let you all know when I find out what they want.

Anyway - it does seem to appear that things may start to move at VSC.

    Dave

  14. Hey Luiza.

Yeah the waiting is hell but at least they must be working on our petitions. Maybe they are getting to the approval stage and need something extra before they can finally do it. Dont know why, but we'll see what arrives in the post. Then hopefully they will approve the I-129f too so we can go with K-3. I have seen this happen to others. Just trying to be positive. Post onto this forum when you find out what they wanted.

    Cheers

    Dave

  15. Hey Sarah. Yeah I hope I'm not waiting more than 3 months, and how about those that have been waiting longer than me like poor old Jon! Gotta feel for those. Looking at the timelines I would expect something to happen very soon, but in reality that doesn't seem to be happening. Even if it is another 3 months to approval, then it's at least 3 until all the other stuff is done and I get the visa. Arrraaagghhhhh!!!!! Like a lot of us I think if we knew more we could deal with the wait better. I am like you though. A lot of my stuff is now in the USA with my wife and I am ready to go as soon as I get the bloody thing. I am going to drink a few beers on that flight over!

Lets hope VSC sort it out now so we can get on and live our lives instead of living in limbo. Sorry to rant but sometimes it good to vent and you guys know what its like. I am a teacher and every single day, on numerous occasions, I get from the well meaning kids "Sir, why aren't you in America yet?". They are really nice and mean well but are driving me nuts!

    Cheers!

  16. No still nothing for us from VSC. I am pissed off living in limbo here, so hard to plan a future when I have no idea when I can join my wife. This really is a disgusting process we are being subjected too. And what makes it worse is that there appears to be no order to it, so some are left waiting for ages while others get approved quickly. It's the waiting that is torture! Do I have 3 more months to wait, 5, 6?????????

  17. Why why why have you had to wait so long????? Makes me nervous! You definately deserve to be out of the USCIS now and even way past the next stage.

How can there be any order to their system if you are still waiting yet others from months and months after you filed have been approved? Sounds like you will get approval within days, fingers crossed for you.
