  1. I'm finally home here in Garner after 5 years of being away with my fiance. The weather here is good and I feel like I'm in Baguio City because there are lots of pine tress everywhere :) I had a good time in the plane going to Detroit and on my connecting flight to Raleigh. I met two Filipinos that's really helpful while I was in plane. We went shopping for awhile in Japan. Geez.. I love the chocolates there. I never had a hard time with my trip except that it's too cold in the plane. I slept for long hours on my trip to Detroit and I didn't get bored at all. I brought two full packed luggage and one big shoulder bag and I didn't have any problem with the weights of it. I expect it will be overwieght but ready to pay for the excess though. I need to bring all the new clothes ans shoes that I bought because my sister in Missouri told me to bring more of it. I bought some sweets and some snack and had two packs of pansit canton too :) (my sister love it) People both in the Immigration in the Philippines and US were really nice. He even joked me that I should invite him on my wedding this month. I said "Yes you're invited Sir! :) They never asked for my xray but I had in handcarried in case they asked it. I didn't placed it in a tube.I saw one family that handcarried it the way I did.

My fiance was so happy to see me and said "Welcome to America"!! :) He hugged me tight and couldn't believed I made it alone here. He got worried alot and told me he couldn't sleep the night I left in Manila. Funny thing was he forgot where to park his car  I guess because he was so excited to bring me home.

    Hi Madelyne,

All Filipina, who are in genuine relationship also feel sooo blessed to have found the man that will honor and respect and love us for who we are and who we will also shower with the same honor and respect and great love.

in my case, Ricky, is not only my fiance, he is my soulmate and has been my most trusted confidant and my bestfriend (sometimes, even my shock absorber) for almost 3 years now... and soon, in God's perfect time, he will be my husband (L)(L)(L)

    Hi Gay and Ricky,

Congrates to you guys and kids there  . Me and Rafi are very happy for you and many happy years in the future... 6. PDOS is a totally different thing from the seminar for fiance's of foreign nationals.. you are under the category of Guidance and Counseling Requirements and Schedules for Filipino Spouses and Other Partners of Foreign Nationals... PDOS are for overseas workers...

    hope this helps...

    Hi July,

thanks for helping to clear things up for me. Rafi only needs G&C seminar at Prism and then go to CFO office to register and get passport stamp. This is correct?

    thanks,

    WaltnRafi

  7. Hello,

I am confused about online website is changed recently and now states that PDOS is requirement and a seminar at CFO Office and to have online reservation at least 5 days before attendance? Does anyone know anything about this requirement or is seminar the same as CFO Guidance and Counseling Seminar needed to take at PRISM? y fiancee needs her CFO stamp and dwe are not sure of the requirements now? thanks to anyone who can clear this up for me? I have website info but not sure of process required to tell fiancee?

  11. After the interview the consulates are required to either give you a visa, deny it, or give the 221g. The first 2 are self explanitory but the 221g is a beast of its own. It usually means 1 of three things.

1-You have to undergo Administrative processing. You will know this if they say they will contact you. This one is very normal, and not much of a concern.

2-They need further proof. You know this one because it will state what they need. Simple to understand, they want more proof before they decide.

3-They don't believe your relationship is real. You know this one because it states it was sent back to the USCIS for further review.

The last one is the most serious. This means they don't believe its real, but they can't prove it. They send it back with a fraud marker, and depending on which visa you are applying for, which consulate, etc. They may expire it, they may make you wait until they review it, then reaffirm it, or they may issue an NOIR (Notice of Intent to Revoke).

I don't want to go into too much detail with the last, its complicated, but if you had this happen you can PM me and I will guide you to a link that can help.

I was given a 221g but they let me pay my visa delivery. During my interview the consul said everything looks good and he said congratulations and goodluck. In my 221g they dont ask any additional documents just a check on they will review the case before further processing. What do u think the documents they are going to review?

    Hello,

My fiancee Rafi was told the same things as you and I thnk it is normal now. She have her interview on May 15 and just this morning recieve her phone call from delbros to ask directions and delivered to her today. I think you will be fine so just be patient to be contacted.

    Friends,

    WaltnRafi

  12. Hi VJer's,

My fiancee just recieved k-1 visa in hand today... now to plan for CFO. Can she take seminar at CFO office at Citigold Center and also register and recieve her stamp there? It also says online that you have to reserve spot to take PDOS there? Can she take seminar at PRISM on Taft Ave. and then go to CFO Office and get her passport stamped there anytime? She does not have to make appointment at PRISM? Thanks for any help or advice...

  13. I just want to know, If arrived in US with K1 visa and after getting married, what is next? Change of Status? How long will it take to get The permanent residency or Green card? And how about getting Citizenship? how long it takes? What is the different Between Green Card and citizenship?

I hope VJ members can help me understand this things...

    Hi Jackie,

this is Walt and Rafi. Yeah that is good to read the guides here for help. I think most try to get either marriage licsense or ss# first. Some states require ss# i think?

    friends,

    WaltnRafi

  14. But he is just ignoring until now, he said he is feeling sick, that's all... I am being too sensitive and childish because I am upset now for that reason?

The thing is, he always ignore me and we will only talk when I approach him to talk. He even sleeps so well at night without even fixing what happened while I am crying at night and not able to sleep for long hours. I have this fear now that when the time comes that I have to be with him in the US, he will just ignore me when something happened that he will not want to talk and will make me feel upset... He will ignore me in a place that I don't know anyone aside from him?

Be honest on your response, if I am childish, then maybe he is right, I will try to change because I love him so much.

I think you are a good affectionate, caring Pinay. Filipinas like yourself is the reason Guys travel thousand of miles to Find and be Found by Love and Happiness abroad. You aren't being childish and sensitive, and you should be concerned when you arive to be with him in usa. He is not going to change, what you see is what you get..he can even behave worst toward you in usa, sooo you need to be concerned.

    Hi,

I do agree that you are not being childish and you may need to be concerned. You do not deserved to be ignored by the man you really love. I do think that any man willing to have a long distance relationship needs to understand the woman's point of view..that is she is needing assurance, tender and loving words daily, to know that her man is thinking about her. It sounds like you have this devotion to him but I am not sure about his to you?

For my part I call my fiancee every day and sometimes 2 times especially now that it is close to the time for her to recieve her visa. We do not chat online and she sends email rarely. She does not have computer so I envy some of you guys here. He needs to feel like he could lose you and your love if he doesn't try harder to understand your side of things.

  15. Hello Everyone,
