  • Our Story
We met online on tagged.com in 2008 (yeah.. friendster and windows live messenger era).
I work in computer industry mainly as QA while he builds and flips houses.
We get together every year and spend some time on vacation and him experiencing local living within my family and relatives.
On his later visits, we started building our house on my inherited property.
Fast forward to me moving in to our new house and him visiting again and finally without renting condos or hotel bookings.
Sadly, pandemic hits and it's been tough... more on him due to some family events.
Then it made us finally decide to get married.
We're hopeful for that day and the rest after it.

  1. After submitting DS-160 https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/en/immigrant-visa#kvisa 1. Register at ustraveldocs.com via the Visa Login http://www.usvisascheduling.com/ as mentioned above. 2. Once registered, create a new application and ready your nvc case number and payment. 3. Pick dates for the VAC biometrics then the interview. I think you will see more available slots for the interview when you check past midnight Philippine Time. You must be quick to decide during the entire process as the website times out after few minutes (either no activity or you are browsing the calendar timetable too long). 4. After securing dates for biometrics and interview, schedule an appointment with St. Luke's https://slec.ph Preferably 2 weeks before your chosen interview date. 5. Start preparing civil documents: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/MNL-Manila.html#pre_interview_checklist Ordering civil documents from PSA https://psahelpline.ph takes 3-4 days. Getting NBI clearance requires appointment for new applicants https://clearance.nbi.gov.ph and available dates could be a week later. Please make sure all the appropriate documents for your case from the checklist link is already in your fiancé's hand before going to the interview or they will make you reschedule the interview. 6. Attend the appointments. Good luck on the interview! Hope it goes well and you will be together soon! 7. Don't forget the CFO which is a Philippine government seminar (but in no way related to U.S. consulate) that's required to be taken by your fiancé after getting back the passport with visa. https://cfo.gov.ph/cfo-registration-services The immigration officer at the airport will ask your fiancé about it.
  2. Whoever's email and contact number was registered in usvisascheduling will get notified through them few working days after CEAC status is "Issued". Pickup is at the VAC in Parqal. You must present the notice to the staff outside the building or they will not let you in.
  3. In usvisascheduling website, have you tried messaging them in the Feedback/Request section? They reply within one ot two working days. You mentioned that you only tried contacting US travel docs website. Have you tried sending visa inquiry form in the US Embassy website? https://ph.usembassy.gov/contact-us-visas/ The reaponse is also within one or two working days.
  4. I can't edit my previous response anymore. I wanted to add that CFO is unrelated to US Embassy visa screening steps. The final visa step is the "Issued" status and you just have to wait. But the last step to get your fiancee in the plane is to pass through the Immigration with the GCP certificate. https://cfo.gov.ph/cfo-registration-services
  5. A day or two it will change to "Issued" and a couple more days you will get notified thru email and/or sms that the visa packet is either ready for pickup at VAC or is out for delivery via LBC. With the "final screening step" I will assume that you're aware of the CFO. I just had to mention because when I was at my CFO seminar, one lady said she got offloaded as the immigration officer asked her about the GCP certificate and she had no idea about it.
  6. Are you saying you successfully got her a morning appointment on Monday? She should receive a confirmation email that has the appointment details as an attachment and print it out to show to the guard at the lobby. Please be there the earliest. There's the registration (a window of about 1 and half hour) for appointment verification and payment of 30 pesos before the seminar. After the seminar of more than 2hrs, the order of the one-on-one interview depends on the registration queue. If she's first to register, she'll be called first for interview (more or less 30mins) and if all goes well, she can leave asap.
  7. You still have to wait for the email and sms that it's ready for pickup, as the staff outside the VAC will ask you for it. I don't know if they will let you in without showing the notice. Maybe call VAC to be sure if it's okay right when it says "Issued".
  8. Hi, I found this: US visa applicants with expired medical reports are required to undergo repeat medical examination which entails doing all the required examinations and tests again and paying the corresponding fees Applicants are asked to confirm first with the US embassy if they are eligible to do a repeat medical examination. source: https://slec.ph/faq/us.php use the keyword 'expire' to narrow it down. maybe call SLEC if you have other inquiries.
  9. Yes! I just finished my CFO and during the one-on-one interview, the counselor assigned to me asked them too! Any kind of police records of petitioner, CENOMAR of petitioner, and if I have screenshots of conversations/video calls with my fiance's family. I said "no, I don't have it" to all of them. But she did not insist that I provide them. I don't know how it happened or how she judged it because by the end, she gave me the receipt for the documentary stamp I paid for (P30) which is needed to get the GCP digital certificate.
  10. Congrats! 🎉 I hope you have a better chance as mine took almost a month. My interview was June 10, CEAC changed to Application Received only by June 16 and Issued by July 3. Then I just picked up my passport yesterday, July 7. It will be faster if picked up at the VAC because once the CEAC status is "Issued", after 2 days, beneficiary will receive (expect about noon time) an email and sms that it is ready for pickup. What I did was I immediately went to VAC as soon as I got the notice. I am assuming that if it's via LBC, you will also get a notice that it is out for delivery but you will have to wait for another day or two, and the fee is P430. Try to change it in usvisascheduling website if your status is not yet "Issued". You can book a CFO appointment as early as the next day once you get your visa.
  11. Also, I noticed there's this difference of the requirements in the CFO website and the generated appointment document from the CFO after registration: From website: In the appointment document: With the last part causing the confusion. yikes.
  12. Updating this for reference. It turns out, I just needed a little more patience. (Haven't I been patient enough? charot.) June 10 - Interview June 16 - (CEAC) Application Received July 2 - Approved July 3 - Issued July 7 - Email and SMS that my passport is ready for pickup. I went to VAC asap and at the entrance, they gave me a green stub and went to the 3rd floor. This time, it was okay to have my phone and my bag with me. Picking up the packet was a breeze. They just asked for my ID. On my way home, I booked an appointment in the CFO website and their calendar has next day (July 😎 slots so I took that. Getting ready now for the dreaded CFO. 🙃
  13. This could be useful: https://www.google.com/travel/flights with price comparison from different booking sites and price change tracking.
  14. No need to login to CEAC. The K1-FTP letter will be sent via email to petitioner few weeks after NOA2 (3 weeks in our case) then another few more weeks for the physical letter but to the beneficiary. SLEC will need a copy of this. I also brought a copy to VAC but they just looked at it for case verification.
  15. Update: just checked again this evening and the CEAC status now is Application Received.
