I've heard that that e-mail/letter was a hoax and not written by him... I mean, why would anyone with a wife from the Philippines write something like that?

Greetings fellow March filers. Just wanted to update. I received my NOA1 in the mail today (4/3/2008) and USCIS cashed my check, so, I guess, everything is fine so far. Hope everything is going well for all of you.

I have received NOA1 for I-130 and have my receipt no. on NOA1. How can I check if my case has any 'touches' by USCIS for any given day? I have seen dates application was touched by USCIS on other VJers timelines. How to see if my petition is touched?

I had to register on the USCIS web site. Just go to their web site and near the bottom right, you should see "Check Case Status." Put your NOA1 receipt number there, without the dashes and click Go. You should see on the page a link to where you can create an online account. Hope this helps.
