  1. Very helpful as always, J.M. I appreciate the info. It's difficult to wrap my western mind over the fact that she has never had a vaccination.
  2. My fiancée says that she is unaware of ever having any vaccination other than COVID. Will she receive all necessary vaccinations at the time of the exam? What about vaccinations such as Hep B which is a series of injections? Are there any vaccinations she should have prior to the exam, such as starting the Hep B series?
  3. Thank you, and best of luck on your and your fiancée's journey! We are now busy gathering documents so we are ready to schedule her Embassy interview.
  4. J.M., I really appreciate the response. Today was just a frustrating day trying figure things out. I used hers but provided the password so that I can complete it. Again, thanks.
  5. OK, I guess I have figured this out. On the DS-160 page it says that we must schedule an interview . . .
  6. Looking at the "flow chart" it is unclear to me if the Embassy in Manila assigns you an interview date or you make one online, I am assuming using ustraveldocs.com? I assume I can create an account on ustraveldocs for my Fiancée, but it should be using her email address?
  7. Thanks J.M.! Happened a lot quicker than I anticipated!
  8. Sorry, just excited. The whole process seems like a Black Hole, and I'm just shocked that we are moving to the next step!
  9. It is a 30 day visa upon arrival. You have to show proof of a return flight or onward ticket within the 30 days.
  10. I put everything in sheet protectors in a folio binder. They returned a couple of documents and it was clear to me that they had disassembled the entire thing and two-hole punched the papers at the top and reassembled it.
  11. Thanks for the reminder. I learned that lesson by researching how to put together the I-129f packet. There is this belief out there that you must "over-deliver" instead of just preparing what is necessary.
  12. "First thing that you need to tell her is to stop going to TikTok and FB Groups for advice." I could tell her that, but that isn't going to stop her. Besides, that's just a sure way to start a fight. 🤣 Yes, she is assuming that she will be interviewed again as part of the CFO.
  13. Again, thank you for the excellent info. She is already asking me for documents for the CFO "interview" so at least her TikTok research has her on her game, and to her credit, I've learned something from it. We have just recently filed for the K1 visa, so plenty of time . . . unfortunately. We have already met in person twice, and the third time is coming up in 2 months. The whole process seems kind of silly when literally thousands of people just walk across the border and are allowed to stay. 😠
  14. No, she is talking about the CFO, (based on her advanced TikTok research.) 🤣 🤣 🤣 I was unaware that she would be interviewed again as part of the CFO process. I am happy to discover there is a CFO center in Cebu as that will be closer than a return to Manila when the time comes. Yes, I have been contemplating taking her on a vacation to Thailand or somewhere similar so that she can obtain that first stamp in her passport. I have heard that it can be very difficult with immigration and there is a chance for her to be "off-loaded."
  15. Thank you for this explanation. It helps me to understand what she is talking about. Yes, she resides in the Philippines. She must be referring to the CFO. I was under the impression that the CFO was simply a presentation/class that she had to take. I was unaware that they also interviewed her as part of the CFO process!
  16. Yes, I did, and they processed the payment as soon as they received my file.
  17. I've always felt completely safe and never had any problems. Taxi drivers are a potential source of trouble all over the world. I never used one in Manila. Grab only and never a problem.
  18. My Fiancée is convinced that she must be interviewed in both the US embassy and the Philippines embassy for her K1 visa. I know she is required to attend the CFO class at the Philippines embassy and acquire the passport stamp, but does she have to go through an interview there similar to the one conducted at the US embassy? She is convinced that she does. She said she, "has done her research and saw it on TikTok." 😆
  19. Yes, they returned it because they thought it was an original, but it is a copy. Looking at the list of necessary documents, I see that it is not listed. I understand the "more is better" feeling. I felt like I didn't send enough comparing my "packet" with what others have sent. I'm not so sure if more is better. I was surprised when I received a text with my case number only days after I mailed the application to Dallas. I wasn't so surprised when they immediately charged my credit card. 😆 Now it sits in the black hole of the processing center, although receiving my fiancee's birth certificate with new holes punched in the top must mean at least they are organizing it for eventual processing.
  20. Thank you! I recently submitted the I-129f and received my text and letter acknowledging receipt and my case number. I was not aware that my fiancee's birth certificate was not necessary for the application. BTW - they double-hole punched at the top, the birth certificate they returned. This gives me the impression that they deconstruct whatever type of packet we submit and construct their own file.
  21. I just received my fiancee's birth certificate in the mail from the USCIS. It was not the original, it was an official copy that she obtained in her country. I thought since it was a copy, it was OK to send in my K! visa application packet. The correspondence that I received did not request that I submit a copy of this copy of her birth certificate, but said that they, "base our decisions upon the evidence that is submitted with the application/petition at the time of filing." Should I respond by making a photocopy of this copy of her birth certificate and mailing it to the service center, or does their correspondence mean that they have made a note that I sent her birth certificate and do not require a copy? Of course, I am nervous that they need this and their letter to me is unclear if I need to respond.
  22. Thank you both for the answers/information. Just when I thought I knew of all the hoops to jump through . . . I found the CFO website. It appears that she will need to go in person to their office in Quezon and she must have the Visa in her possession.
  23. Sorry if this information is found elsewhere, I searched and couldn't find the answer. I just heard of the Guidance and Counseling Program (GCP) and CFO Digital Certificate. Is this required in addition to the K1 Visa to the USA? If so, can it be acquired before the K1 interview?
