  1. Hello to whoever reads my post and thank you for your time. I 28M (UK) and my fiancee 26F (USA) filed for our first step (I-129F) in our K-1 Fiance Visa process in September 2023. I learned that at some point during this process I would need a ARCO police certificate, I recently ordered one to get information on my situation as early as possible as I wasn't sure if I actually received a caution or just a verbal warning in 2014 (aged 18) as I was told by the police at the time that I would have NO criminal record and it would not effect my life whatsoever. However here I am 10 years later and the more I read into this situation of NO LIVE TRACE I am seeing that this one negative encounter with police over possession of cannabis could effect my future chances of immigrating to the USA to be with the person I love... I have never had any other trouble/negative encounters with the police in my life. I am wondering what the next step I should take should be as I am scared for mine and fiancee's future because of this. Do i need a Subject Access Report? Should I apply for record deletion based on the fact I was told I would have no criminal record and it wouldn't effect my life which now seems like misinformation. Is there still a chance I will get still get approved? or extra steps I can take to help my situation considering The USA's recent changes and the way they are progressing in legalizing for medical and recreational use. I know it's still illegal on a federal level but it seems absolutely absurd that I may not be able to be with the person I love due to possessing a small amount of cannabis 10 years ago when I mentally wasn't even a fully developed adult and we all make small mistakes early in life. Thank you again for your time.
