Hello Vjers
I wanted to know if it is okay to put a PO Box as address instead of a physical address? There is no where on the instructions that explains this information

Hi All,
I am a US citizen and filing I-130 and G-325A for my wife. I have a few questions regarding a few of the questions in forms, any help would be greatly appreciated. I read many forms online but could not find clear answer.
G-325 A:
1. On the second line of the form it ask for 'All Other Names Used (include names by previous marriages)'. This is my wifes first marriage and she changed her name after marrying me. Should I give her maiden name here? I does not specify to provide maiden name.
2. On the form it ask for 'Applicant's employment for the last five years'. My wife is a student and has never worked in her whole life. So should I write 'NONE' or give names of her school and in occupation write Student?
3. Also, for quesion 'Last occupation abroad if not shown above'. What should I write there?
5. I have never worked outside from America, however, i have went to school outside from the country. When i am filing G-325A for myself, in the question 'Last occupation abroad if not shown above'. Should i give the last school i attended outside from the USA and in occupation write Student?
4. Finally, what I have understand is it used to be four pages and now the form is down to one page. However, at some places i read to make four copies and sign them. What would be your advice should I just send on page?
I-130:
1. On section: D of the form I-130. It asked for 'Have you ever filed petition for this or any other Alien'. I filed I-130 for both of my parents before and both of their petitions got approved. Should I answer YES to that question and list their names? Also, if anyone has filed this question before, please let me know what informat do i need to provide there. It ask for name, date, place, and result. I think I filed in California Service Center so for place can i write CSC?
You help will be greatly appreicated and thank you for your time in advance.
1. You definitely want to put her name with the old last name
2. You could write none
3. You could write none
4. Just to be on the safe side you might want her to sign all 4 pages. I did that and had no problem but that was before they changed it to 1 page. Just follow the one page thing if it is current.
5.Say none if it asks for employment. School doesn't qualify for employment.
6. If you filed for anyone than you would want to list them on the line provided because USCIS would already have that information. So you would place a YES and write the results and such.

I think she could leave the DOB of her father blank if unknown. If they send any RFE's regarding that then you would explain the situation but I think it is ok to leave it blank.

Hi..I just got text MSG with a status change to my case "stating the GC is being printed". So looks like they are making some updates to the website. We received the approval letter about 10 days ago.
Hopefully the rest of the August filers will get some type of status before the end of the year.

Responding to the post above,
I think it's a great idea, especially since you can't be approved without biometrics - maybe it will increase your chances of being approved quicker than if you had waited.
Most centers seem to allow people to go early, though there was a case in MD where the applicant was not allowed to do early biometrics.
My husband went almost 2 weeks early and his case has been touched twice in 2 days.
Wow you got touches already. Yeah I am definitely going but not before the biometric letter. Good luck and thanks for the response. -
I got this shortcut from the NVC section.
1- when you know from AVR that your case was forward to embassy ( mm/dd/yyyy) lets take an example case forward to embassy December 23rd 2009
2- go to DHL TRACK
3- then under track list click on track reference
4- put the reference in this shape EXP23DEC2009A and push track

My husband went for his walk in biometrics this morning. He got there at 8 a.m. and explained that he has an appointment in January but that he'll be back to work at that time and would like to do it now. The man at the door said he'd ask if it was ok, and the woman he asked agreed. Hubby was in and out in less than 25 minutes. Yeaaa.
Thanks for the help to the VJers who did this before us and let us know we could as well.
PS: He said there weren't many people there.
I want to try going in early for biometrics too because me and my husband have a family gathering most of January but that is only if we have a January appointment
