Haay naku sis ! Hindi lang pala ako ang nakaka feel ng loneliness, kaw rin pala. iba pa rin talaga when you have friend around na nakakasama at nakaka bonding lage. Kahit kasama ko din mister ko ang lungkot pa rin. Parehas na parehas tayo ng napi-feel.

Kahit na ka skype ko family ko everyday sa Pinas, ang lungkot pa rin. Iba pa rin un may kaibigan kang lage mong kasama at lagi mong kausap. Yan nga lagi kong panalangin makatagpo ng kapit bahay at maging buddy kami. Haay ang lungkot dito. Wala akong social life. Kung malapit lang din ako sa yo.... Buti na lang si EAD dumating na, ibaling ko na lang kalungkutan ko sa paghahanap ng work.

Okay... My AP got approved and EAD says card production ordered today.

Few days to go and i can start job hunting.. YAY!! that is good news for me even it is OVER 100 days now!!!

I have a question, you know before the email, when you would check your status on line, it would say something like "we have received your application on _________________________ (date).............. right?

What did that date say and do you count your 90 days from that date?

When I check my status online, mine says:

Current Status: Case received and pending.

On September 29, 2008, we received this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. Is that the date everyone counts their 90days from...............

They havent touched mine yet too since they got my Application (EAD,AP).

I sent mine on Sept 8 and i am over 90 days now. I will just wait until Holidays and will make an INFOPASS too.

Yes the counting starts on the day they received your application.

we also tried money gram and western union before while i was still in the phils but it sucks...

i was in the bank waiting 30mins or almost 3 hours before i can get the money...(money gram)

then western union is almost the same,since there are alot of people sending and recieving money..

until we open an account coming from here (USA) then he sent me the atm card plus PIN.and he could transfer any amount of money without hassle...

then after he transfered i can get it easily without any charges.

now that i am already here,i open up a new account then sent it to the phils..and same procedure...........

much easier and no hassle.....

Hi sis can I know which bank is that? My husband and I did that too wHen i was in PI. He sent me a copy of his ATM back then. I want to open my own bank account here too and send a copy to my family in PI.

Hello!! I woke up this morning thinking about my SS card. It has been month now and haven't received it yet. The lady told me, the maximum time to receive probably would be 3 weeks.She even asked me if i wanted to be in my married surname as it is in my EAD card, and i said yes!!I am getting so bored of waiting...i really wanna start applying for a job..NOW!!lol

My fellow vj family, what could be the reason of the delay?hayyyy...

It took 1 month too when I receive my SS Card. Dont worry it will arrive soon

Btw, I got a confirmation on the 3rd week that the card is coming in a week or something like that.

I sent a box to the Phillipines on 11/29 and I was told that it will take 6-10 business days before my family received the box. The problem is they haven't gotten it until now (12 days) and I already lost the receipt here. Is there any other way to get the Track Number if I will go back to the Post Office? Thanks!

Hello everyone. I am thinking about going back to the Philippines and study AGAIN. Now the economy is so down i regret the time i did not study seriously when i was in college in PI. I graduated a four year Marketing course and didn't feel i learned or maybe i just forgot what they thought me in college. And after graduating in 2006 i never applied to work. At first, I was thinking to just work in a Call Center until my fiance (husband) proposed to me and planned to marry.

I am 23 right now and waiting for the approval of my AOS. My husband is 27 and he is an engineer and making about 60K a year. I told him my idea about studying again in the Philippines and take a 4 year Nursing Course and he said Yes. Im not planning to leave him for 4 years but instead Im planning to visit him every other 6 months since I heard that you cannot leave the country for more than 6 months or something like that. But I am also considering the money that I will spend for the Fare for 4 years.

What do you think guys, should I go back and study again in the Philippines to take the Nursing Course or should I just take a CNA here? Or just get a crappy Marketing related job? Please advise me.

Oh, Gosh i really want to eat Itlog na maalat... Sadly, i can't find any site who sell and deliver Salted Egg. I am in Lexington Kentucky and i just found a Philippine Store from Texas pinoygrocery.com who offers delivery but they dont have that salted egg. Do you know any site who sell and deliver salted egg? Thanks!

My case has not been touched either since the day after my biometrics appointment.

Moreover, my AP still does not even show up in their system...

But, it seems that quite a few people got their EAD and AP approved without any touch.

My friend got an AOS interview notice without any touch.

So, I think we are ok.

Hi everyone. I just read another post, with the lady who never OFFICIALLY adopted her niece as her own daughter. She knew the doctor would know that she has never given birth. THAT got me to thinking....

My fiance' has had an abortion, and I know that's not acceptable there in the Phil. If she tells the truth, will that stay with her and the doctor in the exam room? Or, is that going to raise all sorts of issues that I need to get in front of NOW????

Hi guys, my fiance arrived here over 2 weeks ago. We had problems from the start and I decided its best to let her go back. She went to her friend's place last week and she was supposed to leave today. I know she and her friend are lying to me and she is still here in the states. Is there anything I can do to stop all this from going on? I mean I brought her here to be with me, not to be on vacation with her friend.

Let her go but report her first so she can be deported and then move on and live life. She just want to use you and sorry to tell but i think she doesn't have a feeling for you.

OMG! That is so scary. There are gang youths here in the neighborhood and i am scared of them that they might do some trippin and hurt me and my husband.

My fiancee had her Med. check up today and was called back for additional tests in 2 weeks. She had PTB before but was cured. She is required to have a check up every year for her job and has been cleared every time..Im sad and very nervous right this second. We had out interview this coming nov 24th and i am arriving there(philippines) the 28th. I had everything planned out so she can fly back with me before jan 19th. Now she was told to not go to her interview and to come in and take those tests and she will have to wait for 2 months after to get results..Is this true?? Does it really take this long I feel so helpless right now..Do i need to call up and cancel the interview? Does the additonal test cost more money??? Someone please give me some advice, im in deep stress this second.....thank you, ray

If she will be check positive then SLEC will do the cancel for her interview. and they will do the rescheduling too. No need to call them.

My fiance went to PI before to attend my interview and fly with him to US but sadly i had a problem about my medical so SLEC rescheduled my interview date and my fiance did not make to attend the interview.

I had the same situation before and SSA in my city was really annoying. So what i did was i printed out the Guidelines for getting SSN and went to another SSA office and then they approved me but i got it after a month.
