  1. I thought the interview went well. I came prepared, on time, and confident. I brought my wife and daughter as they applied for the H4 visa. In the interview, I was only asked 2 questions: 1. In which city in _____ State will you live? 2. What is your educational background? I was able to answer them truthfully. He proceeded by asking me if I am aware that I must pay a reciprocity fee, in which I responded with, “Yes, sir, I am.” After that, the officer gave me the blue booklet and asked me to take time to read to know my rights. I accepted it and said thanks. Then he asked again for the copy of my notice of action. He continued working with his computer. After a couple of minutes, he told me, “Everything looks good. However, you cannot pay the reciprocity fee just yet. I will give this (221 g form) to you and I will check this part (administrative processing) but that is normal and okay. I will also return your passports for now. Normally it will take a week maybe tomorrow we will contact you. It depends.” We were then asked to leave the consulate. Honestly my wife and I are still confused with what turned out. I was not even given the opportunity to to ask questions. What could be the reason for it?
