My interview date is assigned to Jan 27th.

It is strange that my case was completed two weeks after adinath521 and both cases are at Mumbai consulate still I got interview date two days before him.

I think when they start scheduling they look at priority date. Your priority date is before than mine. so, for them it doesn't matter when case completed. Priority date matters. That's the only thing I can think of. Worst comes worst, my wife's cousin is getting merried in second week of February. I conveniced her cousin if it is more than one month for marriage, then she is not going to stay. Now, cousin's marriage is only two weeks after interview date. So, some more delay.

One thing I don't understand is why they give you Jan 28, your case was completed only one day after mine. What I was thinking was may be due to holiday they didn't give you interview in December but they should have schedule it for the first or second week of Jan not at the end of Jan. My friend case is under final review at NVC and should be completed by next week and they are also going at the Mumbai so when I hear from them about their interview date I will let you know too.

I am not lucky to get december interview date NVC representative told me that they finished scheduling december interview for Mumbai embassy and I am not in. I just have to wait until January. PCC got me. I thought PCC hold me for one week but no it hold me for one month.

Adinath521, That is strange because my case was completed on 11/3 and interview was schedule on 11/4 I am very surprise that they are done with December interview because they should be scheduling it up to 11/14/08 but I guess due to Christmas they are done with Dec. But you will get first week of Jan 2009 so don't worry it will only be one-two week more before you get reunited. Rmusic

It is strange. After reading post from u and kman, I had high hope that I will get interview on Dec. 23. Both of ur case was completed on Nov. 3 and got interview on Dec. 23. My case was completed on Nov. 5. So, I had high hope. When operator told me that I didn't make it in december, I couldn't belive. I called them again and confirmed with different operator.

Like u said, due to christmas break they didn't schedule during last week of december. I wonder when NVC is going to assign interview date for month of January.

I understand ur situation. Once I find out My case completed on Nov. 5. I called them about 5 to 6 times in a day (different time). After two days, I was being told that they just closed for month of december for Mumbai embassy and I am not in. And as usual response, you will receive letter from us (NVC) within 6 to 8 weeks.

But I think I will find out interview date in first week of december from NVC operator.

In your case, if ur embassy is allready full for month of december then u just have to wait like me. I hope u don't have to wait and u will get december interview.

My suggestion is try calling them every night around 10pm until u find out interview date. Best of Luck.

Got RFE for pcc from passport office as I expected.

Why do you think you got RFE from passport office? I just want to know so i could also prepare myself for possible RFEs!!! hopefully none. but I'm so stressed out right now. NVC just received my AOS and IV packet. Now it's time for the longest wait of my life.

I had everything ready for DS230 except pcc from passport office. Instead of waiting I just go ahead and send DS230 without pcc. So, I expected that I will get RFE. While I was waiting for NVC to review my DS-230, my wife got pcc from passport office and she mailed me. I should get that tomorrow. As soon as I will get that pcc, I will mail that to NVC using RFE coversheet. [i find out about RFE from NVC operator.]

Do not worry. Make sure you send them following:

-Barcode coversheet

-2 passport size photographs

-DS 230 part 1 with signature

-DS 230 part 2 without signature

-Photocopy of biographic page of beneficiary's passport

-Original Birth certificate of beneficiary and copy

-Original Marriage certificate and copy

-Police Clearance Certificate from Distric and Passport office

If you send above items, then you do not have to worry. Give them about 10 days before you hear that your case is completed. If you missed any of above item, start collecting it.

i told my husband all he needed to do was mail the ds230 packet i gave him straight to nvc but he just wanted to be sure and had the lawyer double check it. so now, she took out the ds230 part 2 and didnt include it, how stupid is that?

I know ur feeling. Just think positive that u still have chance for december interview. Mistake from lawyer but stll take deep breath send them part2 in timely manner and still u r not going to miss december interview. Best of luck.

ok, guys, how long it takes for NVC to review the AOS and I-864 package from start to finish???

I called yestarday and they still are reviewing it. Anybody knows????

It is different for each case. It took 7 days to clear I-864 package for me. Confirm from operator that RFE on AVR is false. They needed DS230. NVC received DS-230 on Oct. 20. I think I should hear from them by Oct. 30. [10 days to process DS-230].

sent ds230 about 6 days ago, when will nvc complete our case? im so hoping to get a december interview too

Give them about 10 days. I am sure u will find out by Oct. 27 that case completed (if no RFE).

oh no. I mailed AOS package last week and called NVC and the AVR said the documents were missing and mailed me a letter. I just send in the DS230 package yesterday too and was hoping to have AOS cleared this week before they reviewed the DS230. I will talk to an operator Monday but could this be that they missing the DS230?

Do not worry. u r not alone. I am in same situation. Most likely, it is false RFE saying that they still need DS230 from us. This happened to many vj members so do not panic. It is normal.

Congratulation on ur approval. Get ready for fast NVC process. Now, process at NVC will wait on u to move case. Completely different than service centers.

ok IV fee generated and paid online today. what happens next?

make sure which fee is paid cause there are two

-AOS fee

-IV fee

AOS fees paid - allows you to send I-864 form and doc associated with it

IV fee - allows you to sedn DS230 form and doc assocaited with it but this one does not get generated till DS3032 (AOS) form is accepted at NVC

yup, thats the one. AOS paid last week and now its the IV fee 400$ thats paid.

did your ds3032 get accepted at nvc? i believe only then IV fees are available to pay

my ds3032 was accepted. i paid all the fees and mailed my docs to nvc. Now, waiting for AOS and Ds230 to be reviewd. Whats the next step?

Just wait until u hear from NVC that ur case is complete. (Either through AVR or NVC operator).

After that try to find out interview date either from NVC operator or following site.

guys, guess what. my case is completed at NVC today. i sent my DS 230 on 10/7 and NVC started process on 10/9, and since due to Columbus Day holiday yesterday, it was delayed for one day. now the case will go to Mumbai, India. i am so happy.

Dang it I need to catch up with some of you. I haven't got anything yet. I know they have had my case since 10/8.

If you allready have ur case #, then either ur spouse can e-mail DS-3032 (Review Jame's shortcut) or ask ur spouse to print DS3032 form online and ask her to sign and fax or scan to u. Then u can generate barcode and paste it to signed ds3032 form. Complete choice of agent information and send it to NVC.

That take cares choice of agent. For 864, u have to get Invoice ID Number. It is hard to get from NVC operator. If u lucky, u might get it from them. If u don't get it from there, do not worry. Just wait until u receive package in mail from NVC.

1) No. u don't need to submit state return.

2) I think it doesn't matter. u can send pay stub or make copy of it. It is not required but u submit to let them see what u make this year. Just for more verfication.

3)If u r sponsoring ur wife, then 21a is 1; 21b is 1; and 21c is 0. Because ur spouse is allready counted in line 21a. u don't count twice. Someone, confirm me on this.

I have a question if any one can help me. I filed I-130 for my spouse. Currently, @ NVC stage. Paid I-130 Fee to USCIS. Then paid fee for I-864 to NVC and Will pay fee for DS230 to NVC by next week if they generate.

My question is what other fees we have to go through for this process. I know medical fee when my wife does her medical. Is there any fee @ embassy when she go for interview? Please, let me know if anyone knows. Thanks,

i received package from nvc on ds3032 and aos fee.

i paid aos fee online, as per package instruction, i have to print 'cover page' from internet once paid..and return

what is this cover page? what else i need to return to nvc? someone pls let me know

i know this needs to be mailed out this is 'document only' envelope..

briefly describe me what i need to do once aos fee is paid..step by step if you can as i am bit lost at this stage..

After u pay AOS fee, check the status. Once status change to PAID follow instruciton how to print coversheet. Attach coversheet with ur AOS package and mail it to NVC (address is given on coversheet).

I see that so many people said AVR is not updated at NVC stage. I do not blame NVC for that. Look at us, either we send DS 3032 via E-mail or next day. We pay AOS & IV fee online. We send AOS & IV package next day. (We still call them so many times specially to get IIN.)

They overburn with work. But still they do good job. They process paperwork unlink USCIS. So, I don't care if they not updating AVR as long as process on case moves. Just my thought.

What u guys think? Do u want update on AVR and go process little slow or do not care about update on AVR and keep process moving?

I received AOS package from NVC today. Got IIN number from that and paid AOS bill online. AOS package is ready to go out as soon as payment clears.

is it okay to use 3032 from online instead from the package that nc sends?

it's ok. I created the barcode that referenced in James shortcut...

I printed 3032 form from online and flilled out information. Then, I sent completed form with my brother who was making his trip to India back in August. She signed form and send back with my brother when he returned in sept. After I got approved from USCIS and got case # from NVC, I used James shortcut and printed Barcode with case # in address lable and stick address label on top of completed form.

They sent out 3032 and AOS bill on Monday. No one there wants to give me the IIN number, should I keep trying them???

I sent the 3032 by email, will be sending it by mail this week.

I tried many times but was not able to get IIN. I will wait until I get in mail, which should be Friday or Saturday.
