  1. I did not hijack. I merely asked one simple question to Family's suggestion about using Zillow. My question was on-topic and relevant for the original poster as well as for anyone else reading that thread. I did not ask questions about my case. My question was to Family regarding his suggestion to the OP to use Zillow. Using Zillow did not sound right because it is different from I-864 instructions. It might have been bad advice to the original poster and I was trying to confirm whether it was good advice for them or bad.
  2. I'm not the original poster. I'm a different person who saw Family's suggestion to use Zillow, was surprised by it, and wanted to know if Zillow is an acceptable way to show value.
  3. Is a Zillow market value printout adequate? The I-864 instructions say to get an appraisal by a licensed appraiser. == "You may include the net value of your home as an asset. The net value of the home is the appraised value of the home, minus the sum of any and all loans secured by a mortgage, trust deed, or other lien on the home. If you wish to include the net value of your home, then you must include documentation demonstrating that you own it, a recent appraisal by a licensed appraiser, and evidence of the amount of any and all loans secured by a mortgage, trust deed, or other lien on the home.
