Hello All,

I want to know the validity of Police certificate. Is is one year or six month. The New Delhi emabassy website says it is one year but the Local police office says it is only six monts. Which of them in correct. Another thing I have my both PCC from Passport office as well as Local police office that were issued in nov 2007. But I shifted in another city in Jan 2008. So I want to know should I need to obtain PCC's from this city as well? And if yes then should I need to take from here's passport office as well or the older one would be fine.

Please help me. My interview is on Aug 13.

Is it necessary to postpond the K3 interview for having CR1 interview? Can't I give CR1 interview after taking K3 on Aug 13?

Does anybody knows that for how many years we receive green card for CR1 and after AOS.

For CR1 filers do you know you need to apply for permanent resident after two years in order to obtain 10 years green card and after you do AOS you straight away get 10 years card. In this was K3 is also better. Don't you think so. This is my anaylysis. Please share your thoughts too.

Can't I take CR1 visa after getting K3 visa. I mean I just want to go to K3 interview on Aug 13 and take K3 visa. Then untill I come there in US , if my CR1 interview date also gets schduled then can I give that and take CR1. Actually I just wanted to avoid this AOS as this is so frustrating and irritating to again go through that process again after coming there in US i.e., AOS.

Today our I130 also got approved and its nearly 17 days after I 129F approval. But now our interview date for K3 is already coming on Aug 13. My question is if before coming to US our NVC stage also cleared up then can I give CR1 interview also and take CR1 visa instead. As you now CR1 visa is superior visa and there is no need to do adjustment of status also. Therefore please let me know if there is such possibility. And if there is such possibility then should I have do all the things again like packet 3, 4, medical, courier fees etc for CR1? Please help me in clearing my doubt.

Today I cleared with my medical at New Delhi. I went to Apollo hospital at New Delhi for my medical on 1st August. There they asked me the following:

1. My original passport.

2. My original interview letter.

3. Passport size photograph (Three)

After going through it they gave me some forms to fill in a file, which I filled in 10 minutes. Then they asked me to deposit Rs. 1850 for blood test and X-ray in another counter. Then they tied a band in my right hand, which mentioned my name and number. Then they told me to wait. After some two minutes someone called my name for taking my blood for blood test. Then I went to X-ray room for X-ray. While taking the blood they also measured my height, weight and eyesight. After this they told me to wait. After some five minutes some Representative came and asked me some questions:

1. About prior vaccinations if any taken?

2. Did I ever had chicken pox?

3. Your prior medical history if any?

4. They have a list from where they ask you several questions. But no need to worry the people there are very nice and very polite.

Then the representative asked me to follow into a Doctors cabin where my physical check up was done. They checked my blood pressure, pulse and overall. The Doctor was also very nice. Then the representative gave me a list of the vaccinations, which I need to take after taking with Doctor. Then he told me to go to pharmacy and buy those vaccinations and to go to immunization room to have those vaccinations. I did accordingly and came back. I need to pay around Rs.800 for vaccinations. The following vaccinations was given to me:

1. MMR

2.TDP

3.varicella

The overall cost for medical was around Rs. 2650.

Then they told me come back on Monday i.e., on 4 th August. It was only to pick my reports.

Then I went today and collected my report in a large sealed envelope including X-ray.

Than the representative said me Best of Luck for my interview with a smile. He was very nice person.

That how I went through it. I hope this would help to people going through medical at New Delhi

Yes, you can do the expedite of your case. Expedite is a request based on medical grounds, financial hardship etc. You can read the various conditions about it in the USCIS website and also on visajourney. If you have any such condition then you can call USCIS and tell about it, they will further tell you to submitt supporting documents for it. You can then fax those documents or mail it to USCIS. If they approve your request then your case will be approved within 5 working days of sending such information or else you can ask and enquire about it.

Hope this information will help you to understand this procedure a little bit. I will tell my husband too to explain it in detail as he has done it so he knows more about it.

My wife went to Apollo to get her medical done. Yes they take 3 days, so she'll be picking up her medical report and taking it with her by hand to the interview rather than submitting to VFS. Also, she is submitting everything to VFS, originals and requested photocopies.

Thanks for the information. I also called apollo and they told me to come today itself. Therfore, I will try my level best to reach there today itself. As far as VFS is concerned, they told me that I need to submitt the documents today itself as they remain off on saturday's. But, I would not be able to submitt them any documents other than the compulsory courier fees i.e., Rs.365. Other documents I will submitt at the time of my interview as per the US Embassy website of New Delhi.

your wife is submitting the originals or the photocopy of the documents? And where she is doing her medical? I called Apollo hospital in New Delhi, they are saying that it will take 2-3 days to get the report? Is your physician also said the same. I read one post of Roza, their medical was done in Apollo of chandigarh where they got the report in the evening itself and their medical lasted only one day.

I have received packet 4 and interview appointment today. These are my findings which I would like to post today itself so that I may not miss any point latter.

Packet 3

You need not to wait to receive packet 3. You can call consulate and find out wheter they have recieved your case. It Usually reaches within four to five days from the date it was send by the NVC. After knowing about your case has been recieved at consulate just go the very next day with the following(contents of packet 3):

filled up DS-230 part 1 form (you can download it from visajourney site)

Photostate of all biographic pages of you passport

One photograh (Though they don't take it, but just keep it with you incase.......)

One last thing you keep your consulate number allotted by NVC. Like for New Delhi, it starts with NWD.........

Just submitt these things with consulate. After that you will have to call them in a week to know your interview appointment. You will receive your packet 4 accordingly.

This is applicable for both K1 and K3

Will tell you more for packet 4 later.

I got interview date today itself because of our expedite case.

Hello All,

I am in a big confusion now. Actually mu husband while filing my I130 and I129f mentioned my father first name as my middle name. He does so because as his name also includes his father first name as middle name. But in my passport and all documents, I have no middle name at all. Therefore, I want to know what should I do now? My case has reached consulate today itself and I want to know in order to fill DS230 form wheter I should write my father first name as middle name, as my husband mentioned while filing I130 and I129f or should I write according to my passport which does not have any middle name?

Please help me I am very much worried. Will it create any problem in my interview?

First you will get NOA2 from USCIS and then they will trafer to NVC(National Visa Center) who further transfer your file to your respective consulate. This is applicable for both K1 and K3 visa.

Our file has left NVC and is under way to New Delhi consulate. Let me also tell that my impression was very much accurate as our file reached NVC on 22 and left 24 of july. So it too only one day as I predicted.

I would also be dealing with New Delhi consulate. As you just know gave the discription of your medical, I want to know some more details of it. Like;

1. which doctor conducted your medical?

2.How many days it took place? (one or two)

3.What did they did in day one and day two respectively?

4. Do we need to show our records of any vaccinations taken earlier?

5. What are the documents needed for medical?

6. Finally how we know the date of medical?

Sorry for asking too many question. But I am asking this from you because you have gone through all this and so we take valuable information from you.
