    Hello VJ community

My wife had her interview today at USCIS and passed all the requirements. However she was not recommended for approval and he application was marked as: A decision cannot be made yet about your application on Form N-652. The immigration officer explained that her I-751 is still pending hence why they cannot recommend her for approval. She did her biometrics over a year ago and the I-751 processing time has been extended since there is a backlog of cases. Has this happened to anyone else? It seems a bit odd that they determine you are eligible to become a citizen but still want to go through the permanent resident process. Any information would be helpful.

    Thank you

    did you hear back yet?

Had my interview today at the Oklahoma City Field Office. It was quick and short. 5 civics test questions asked, verbally answering the form, being told that I passed the test, then I showed the officer our pictures.

I will still have to wait for I-751 to be transferred over. The ceremony will be in the same office. Not sure which date yet.

I did my interview on Feb 29th, at Kansas City FO, 3 yr rule. It was same for me however the officer told me that she is approving both I-751 and N-400 but I could not see any changes online. do we know how long it takes to hear back from them.

  3. Hello everyone, I did my N-400 interview yesterday at Kansas City FO, the interview was scheduled for 7:30 am I was in at 7am and was called in right at 7:30. The officer was super nice and friendly she did not ask me much about the I-751 and did approve it before proceeding for N-400. It went like a breeze I answered the first 6 questions correctly, so she did stop there and moved towards the writing part and then she told me to sign on the iPad. Few min later she said congratulations I passed and approving n-400 as well. I can say she was the best officer with a vibrant and joyful personality. She did not even try to make me nervous or anything.  I was in and out in approx. 50 min. Thankyou everyone in this group. The online status has not changed yet which is fine coz the officer told me thrice that I am approved for both the cases.

    I applied for my N-400 on August 15, 2023

Notification of interview schedule on January 10.

The interview was scheduled for February 29.

FYI: Based on 3 years Marriage rule and Office in Kansas City.

Good Luck to you all and thanks for sharing all your experiences here.

Update on my slow Orlando case! Had my interview today and got approved, yay! Unfortunately their computer system was down so I wasn't able to be sworn in today or have anything approved electronically - hopefully the letter with a swearing-in date will come fast and not keep me waiting too much longer. So close to the end of this process!

could you plz share your timeline
