  1. Hi! we have received the approval last April 10 and it'll be a month now in a few days and we still haven't received the NVC number. Will send a follow up mail by May 10.

I am now confused as to how are we gonna received it again? via mail of my fiance? will I (beneficiary) will received any mail as well? or via email?

Can I call the NVC / Embassy too to follow up?

    Thank you all!

Out of curiosity what are the processing times currently?

After receiving NOA 1 how long would it be till NOA 2?

And from NOA2 I assume is the next form DS-160?

    Then interview and medical exam?

(Processed the files start of March)

Hi! we got NOA1 last Nov 2023 and just last April 10, about 5mos after we got NOA2 . Hopefully a  just little bit more wait now 'til we got NVC number. We are getting my interview here in Bahrain.

If you haven’t filled out DS-160, then you’d just put in a new address there.

If this is post DS-160 then update at the interview.

No, i dont think we have filled DS- 160 yet. Im not so sure bcos we had Rapid Visa mailed our application.

I will check with my fiance, but i dont think we have.

  4. Hi all!

    Hope everyone is doing okay.

So, on the application we have submitted, we mentioned that I (alien fiancé) will be doing my interview here in Bahrain.

Now I will be moving apartment, still in Bahrain. I have a couple of questions regarding that.

    1. Is there any kind of forms we should submit for changing my address?

    2. Will this affect our waiting times? If we have to resubmit some forms.

    3. Am I ever receiving anything from the mail, or everything will be through my fiancé and he is just the one who will be updating me.

Thank you in advance for anyone who could help. I have called US embassy here in Bahrain, but unfortunately they dont have the answers.

  5. Hi everyone!

    Happy New Year!

Hope all is well... So, I know it has only been almost 2 months since we got our NOA1 and now I am getting paranoid bcos we arent doing anything...

so please clarify to me once again that this now a waiting game and we just have to keep our chill and hope for the best that we get our NOA1 soon, right?

bcos if we're wrong and we should have been doing something else and we arent that i am gonna lose my mind 😅

    Thank you!

This link has information on how to obtain the proper police certificate: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Bahrain.html

You will need a police certificate for the Philippines too. You can see how to get that from the same site, just go to top and change the country to the Philippines.

Thank you so much! Appreciate this

  7. Hi, everyone. As mentioned in my past post, I am new here so I don't how how to post in the Bahrain portal...

I'm the foreign fiancé (Filipina) currently living in Bahrain. So, anybody here knows how to get the police clearance/ Good Conduct Certificate? Please advise. Thank you.

And question for the general public:

    1. I have lived here since 2018 (was 23y/o), do I still have to get Police clearance from the Philippines? I have read that I need that from the places I have lived in since 2016.

    2. (For Filipino members) I have already my Certificate of NO Marriage, but I think its only valid for 6months (?). So, if it expires before we got the interview schedule, which when I would need it, Do i have to get a new valid copy? Or I can use the one I have now even if its already expired by then?

Just researching on how to get all the possible requirements I might need for the interview. Cant say that I have OCD but I just want to prepare/know everything before we get the list of requirements even if it is still far. Given also that I am away from my home country and acquiring some of the documents might take time to get here in Bahrain.

I have so many question but everyone has been helpful so far. Thank you so much.

It is taking 9 Months as of today, On Novemember it will be a 6 to 7 Months process, It is speeding up. For me Oct 20 approved and it took 9 Months one months from now at the rate of 1500 casees per week it will come down to 7 Months process to NOA2

This is great news then! We have mailed our petition last week and hopefully it doesn't take as long as what we have previously read, about 15-18months.

Chat logs - Not required and a weak form of evidence.
Video call - Not required and a weak form of evidence.
Photos - You only need photos showing you met within the last 2 years, followed by evidence backing that up, I had 5 photos.
Engagement - Formal engagement is not required, engagement is not a legal status. My husband and I had an engagement over video call.. no proof of that exists. We didn't order my engagement ring until after filing, it is not an issue.
Intent to marry within 90 days - Letter of intent is typically sufficient

Thank you! Hope all documents we had submitted will be okay for now. cross fingers we got NOA1 soon.

affidvits from others are of little value unless immigration asks for one

    just not needed

lease showing names of both when u lived together is good/ photos do not prove u lived together

lease or receipt with both names

Unfortunately, we didn't have lease under both our names. So hopefully what we had provided will be okay for now.  Thank you!

    1. Letter of intent to marry is a formal statement letter from each of u that u will marry within 90 days of US entry
    2. The 2 letters (1 from each of u )do not need to notartized
    3. Photos of living together?   any copy of a lease showing both names?

    1. yes, we have provided that.

    2. the letter we got notarized was from my parents, his father and a friend stating that they know and support our relationship and plans to get married when we got the visa approval. we had it notarized bcos we have been advise by rapid visa to do so.

3.No, we dont have a lease under both our names since I was the one who moved in with him and still have kept my own apartment. but we do have some photos together in his place with friends.

You didn't send in your k1 visa application, what you sent was a petition.  The visa application comes much later and is sent to the Consulate in Bahrain or Manila (which you choose to apply at).

Did you submit statements of intent to marry from you and your partner?

oh my bad. I am still getting confused on which term to use. application or petition.

Yes, we submit letter of intent to marry as well.

  12. Hi everyone! So, last week we have mailed of K1 Visa application and I know now that its is a waiting game. Anyway, I am already overthinking about the proof of Evidences we have summitted and hope that we get RFE.

CHAT LOGS - We are not a very "texty" (if that's even a term lol) couple so there is not a lot of chat conversations to provide. The one that we have summitted doesn't really have a lot going on.

VIDEO CALL SCREENSHOTS/ LOGS - We mostly talk on Video calls, everyday, so we provided some screenshots form that.

PHOTOS - My partner and I lived together for almost a year while he was still here in Bahrain for work. So we attached photos of that.

ENGAMENT - we don't have anything at all to show that we got engage as we have decided we will do a formal engagement when we visit the Philippines next year.

BONA FIED INTENT TO MARRY - though we didn't have any proof of engagement, we have provided Personal statements from his father, my parents and some friends that was notarized.

If we got RFE, hopefully not, what do you think they will ask? and do I have to bring copy of all the documents included in our packet during the interview? i know they will give a list but I tend to over prepare just in case.

Rapid Visa has no control of how fast your petition is processed, basically they lick the stamp and mail the docs you completed and provided evidence of meeting, waste of money.

A Chance of deployment, not likely for expedite, now if they had the orders, then maybe yes.

Yeah, we are kind of feeling that way now with Rapid Visa. Unfortunately, we haven't done a lot of research about them and we on bcos they were recommended by a friend. My partner has already paid them and have already submitted the docs so we'll just go ahead and continue the process with them. Hopefully they will be much more helpful in the future.

As long as you are working there on a valid Visa, and can prove valid status, you can interview wherever you want. and if you have been there more than 6 months, look into how to obtain the police report from Bahrain, then time it so you have it a few months before interview.

Thank you! Yes, I have a valid working visa here and am already researching about getting the Police clearance. question is i have been living here since 2018 (23yrs old) but I have read that I must have police clearance from the places I lives in since I was 16. So does that mean I have to get one from the Philippines too?

As long as you provide a current address in Bahrain

Thank You! Yes, I can get that and I have a valid working visa here.

It might be a little quicker than that but processing times change all the time

If it could be easily expedited then everyone would be doing it.

You might find it helpful to find the Philippines regional forum and ask your questions about the process there as the time will come where you need to understand what needs to happen in Manila

about that. We have summitted the application for me to get the interview in Bahrain since I am currently living here for work. We have already indicated it on the forms so hopefully they don't miss it

Thank you!. My partner is in the military and has high chance of being deployed at any time. And I saw one youtuber with the same situation and it did help to get their expedited. I was hoping we can do the same too.
