I must admit I have not been on for awhile... Younes made it here on September 3rd, and I have been busy as H###. This process is alot harder than I thought it would be. Talk about trying my patients. I must say, I miss the chats. See you guys soon.

I need clarification. Younes was told he would have to pay $100.00 to immigration clerk at P.O.E. Is this true?

Younes has his visa in hand, and i'm super excited. He got the call yesterday to go to casa for a 10 am appointment on friday. So he went this morning, and they took his passport and asked him to come back at 3 pm. So now he has his visa..... Now just to make arrangements for his flight. I want to thank those who supported me thru this process.

I have since moved from one city to another. My so's interview was on the 8th of july, and we are still waiting in ap (ugh!!!) My question is do i need to tell the embassy of where i am currentley living. Do you think that is what's prolonging ap status cause i'm not at the address that is on our ap? I just don't want to prolong anything. I'm wondering if that is what may be holding up process. Advice please.

I've seen two shows lately that went on and on about how mid-life is a great time for women. Just last week Oprah had a whole show on how great menopause will be . . . Puhleeeeeeeze! I've had a few thoughts of my own and would like to share them with you. Whether you are pushing 40, 50, 60 (or maybe even just pushing your luck), you'll probably relate.
Mid-life is when the growth of hair on our legs slows down. This gives us plenty of time to care for our newly acquired mustache.
In mid-life women no longer have upper arms, we have wing spans. We are no longer women in sleeveless shirts, we are flying squirrels in drag.
Mid-life is when you can stand naked in front of a mirror and you can see your rear without turning around.
Mid-life is when you go for a mammogram and you realize that this is the only time someone will ask you to appear topless.
Mid-life is when you want to grab every firm young lovely in a tube top and scream, 'Listen honey, even the Roman empire fell and those will too.'
Mid-life brings wisdom to know that life throws us curves and we're sitting on our biggest ones.
Mid-life is when you look at your know-it-all, beeper-wearing teenager and think: 'For this I have stretch marks?'
In mid-life your memory starts to go. In fact the only thing we can retain is water.
Mid-life means that your Body By Jake now includes Legs By Rand McNally -- more red and blue lines than an accurately scaled map ofWisconsin .
Mid-life means that you become more reflective . You start pondering the 'big' questions. What is life? Why am I here? How much Healthy Choice ice cream can I eat before it's no longer a healthy choice?
But mid-life also brings with it an appreciation for what is important. We realize that breasts sag, hips expand and chins double, but our loved ones make the journey worthwhile. Would any of you trade the knowledge that you have now, for the body you had way back when? Maybe our bodies simply have to expand to hold all the wisdom and love we've acquired. That's my philosophy and I'm sticking to it!
I must agree. I love it!!!!

Hey guys,
has anyone who filed at VSC between the end of June (30th) and today received their NOA1? Or if not, has your check been cashed? We submitted our application on July 5th, it was received on July 7th, but neither action has occurred so far! Anyone help?
Thanks!
Cristina
Christina, don't worry you will receive it soon.
It may take a few weeks.

Ok so some of you may know that younes went for interview and was asked to return today by doctor. He went and had to take a urine analysis (not sure why it wasn't done the first time). The doctor tells him don't worry everything is going to fine and that the embassy will call him in a few days, and that washington d.c has responded. How would the doctor know about washington responding? I don't understand this at all. I e-mailed embassy yesterday to see why it was he had to return again to casa, and I was told they could not give me any medical information at all.
LOL... This just blows my mind....
So again we wait.

P.S Younes seems to be in good spirits.
I wish I could (i'm stressing, beer anyone)

AWSOME CONGRATS!!!

WELL TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH I'M TIRED OF IT. I REALLY DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH MORE OF THIS I CAN REALLY TAKE. I JUST WANT TO CRY, I'M SO UPSET RIGHT NOW. I HATE THE FACT THAT I'M NOT THEIR. IF IT'S ONE THING THAT I HAVE NOTICED ABOUT YOUNES IS HE DOES NOT ASK MORE QUESTIONS. I DON'T KNOW IF IT THE CULTURE OR IF IT'S JUST HIM. IF IT WAS ME I'D BE ASKING MORE QUESTIONS, UNTIL I GOT TO THE BOTTOM OF IT.
I KNOW I'M NOT THE ONLY THAT'S FRUSTRATED, I JUST WISH THE PEOPLE AT THE EMBASSY WOULD PUT THEMSELVES IN OUR SHOES AND SEE HOW MUCH PAIN AND SUFFERING THEY CAUSE.

YOUNES GOT A CALL FROM DOCTOR IN MOROCCO. HE NEEDS TO GO BACK, AND BRING YET MORE MONEY. HE ASKED WHAT FOR, AND THE RECEPTIONIST TOLD HIM THAT SHE DID NOT KNOW.
SO I'M ASKING HERE IF ANYONE HAS GONE THRU THIS. AND IF ANYONE COULD EXPLAIN.
THANKS BKC

sounds like the normal processing clearaces, give it time, but also stay on top of it. Has your state rep checked on it for you yet?
NO, I HAVE NOT HAD ANYONE TO CHECK ON IT. IM NOT SURE WHO OR WHEN I NEED TO CALL.
hi Youkaye,
i think the interview went well, evrybody is getting the 221 paper in casablanca , either for AP/AR and noone get his visa the same day, so cheer up evrything will be fine soon .did they keep his passport ?
No, they did not keep his passport, that is why i'm concerned. Well i have concluded that at this point all i can do is wait. thank you all for your reply's and support.

You would want to write or type a new one, sign and date. No need for it to be notarized.
THEY DID NOT REQUEST IT WHEN MY SO WENT. ON THE FORMS THAT THE BEN. RECEIVED THEIR IS A LINE IN HIS/HER FORMS THAT THEY SIGN IN FRONT OF THE CASE WORKER. THE PETITIONER DOES NOT NEED TO SEND A NEW ONE (I DIDN'T SEND HIM ANYTHING). NOR WAS IT ASKED FOR. ON HIS/HER FORMS IT STATES ALL THAT IS NEEDED ON INTERVIEW.
GOOD LUCK

Hello fellow vj members.
Younes went on his interview on July 8th, and everything seemed to have gone ok. Except they handed him a form stating that they could not give him his visa at this time due to, they have more processing to do on his application. The woman said they were going to fax washington, and wait for their returned fax. She told him that she would call him as soon as she received it. I at this time am going crazy becuase i'm not sure what all this means. They also did not take his passport. I've looked on here and noticed that everyones passport was always taken and returned to them at a later date. So if anyone could explain what's going on, or what I should do, I would greatley apprciate it.

I 131 application for Travel Document
in Working & Traveling During US Immigration
Posted
I'm filing out the I-131 for s.o. I'm not sure how to fill it out. The sample shows dates traveled, however the only reason i am filing this is just in case of a family emergency and younes has to go to morocco. Can some one that has done this for a k-1 applicant help me. I am filing for aos. please advise.
