The trick is sending them a email trough the website form or email, after 10 days another after 15 days requesting the Case number, They sleep on it you have to be on top of your application that's how we did it back in oct. We got it after emailing them next day, May of us got it that way.
We did after 20 days.
My tracking so far:
Public Inquiry: May 3rd
Case Number: May 7th
FTP Letter: May 7th
In Transit: May 7th
DS 160/paid Fees: May 9th
Interview Inquiry: May 10th

We have finally been approved as of yesterday! USCIS updated on website and they have told us to wait for the approval notice! Thank God, so so grateful. Thank you for being so supportive!
Does anyone know what the next stages are and is there anything I can do to be prepared?
Thank you!
Oh great I'm happy for you
Next is step is they will forward your case to the NVC. If you don't hear back within 2 weeks you can ask for your case number via public inquiry at NVC. Now it's time to gather the documents for the I 134.

we tried to reach out to them and they said it’s within normal processing times and just told us to wait.
when you say contact them with your RFE response details, what do you mean by this?
Thank you for the response hun x
Usually people hear back soon after their rfe response. Did you mention you already had an rfe and responded to it when you reached out to them? I would at least asked if they received the documents they asked for.
-
I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you will hear back soon. Maybe you should contact them with your rfe response details?!

Congrats I'm happy to hear that :-)

I've been waiting 40+ days, but others are hearing back after ~20.
So we just hope for the best I guess 🤞

USCIS sent me a note my petition was sent to NVC on April 17th. Any idea when I can hear back from them?
I tried to schedule a medical appointment this morning but they said I need the interview appointment confirmation and welcome letter.

I also dated long distance in Covid, it did not last very long haha, those must've been trying times!! I'm so happy for you that it's speeding up!
I wasn't expecting to be that long in a LDR but if it's the right person you will make it work 😉

God 4 years, that sounds so rough!! We're celebrating our 2 year anniversary tomorrow, so we're not that long thankfully. I was planning a 2 month trip to see him in October, but it's looking like that could potentially be a final move date too?? I don't know, I'm going crazy haha
Yea our anniversary is May 5th. The lockdown made things difficult for us. But it also made our RS stronger. My fiancé also wanted to visit me in April but then they speeded up the process and we decided to wait so we can hopefully move together this summer.
Yea there's a good chance it'll be a final move date for you.

June is still pretty fast!! I was shocked to see December cases being accepted already, we were guessing it to be end of the year!
Hehehe, yes. When we started in Dec our estimate was October hehehe. But after 4 years LDR I am so ready for it lol.

My fiancé did yes!
That explains the delay. Plus there's a backlog bc of the March Cases. Better FedEx or UPS or at least Express if USPS.
You actually count as February 24 not Dec 23. But USCIS works so fast now, so there's a chance you will hear back in June. 🤞

We sent ours in on December 4th, was received on the 31st of January and got NOA1 on the 7th of February!
No clue why the gap is that big for us tbhWith what did you send it? USPS?

They are merely requesting we send another document.
We sent the divorce papers, but not the certificate. They needed both.
So that is an easy request to answer!Fingers crossed you'll be approved soon.

I had that too (Windows). I just filled it out and printed it bc I couldn't save it.

On April 19, 2024, we sent a request for additional evidence for your Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e). The request for evidence explains what we need from you. We will not take action on your case until we receive the evidence or the deadline to submit it expires. Please follow the instructions in the request for evidence.
They are processing them quickly, unfortunately my response does not sound good. When you send it to the USCIS you usually hear back from them soon.

I honestly don't understand why you are making this so complicated.
You do not need to book one way flights. He can book a round trip from the US to Germany and back to the US. You can book a round trip from Germany to the US and back to Germany, making sure that you book the same flight from Germany to the US as his return flight. Once you are in the US you can cancel your return flight.
I also don't get why you insist on a layover in Canada, but you do you.
Good luck!
Everyone says something different. I'm just more confused now.
Is there any way to close this?
I also don't know why I have to explain myself why I fly to Canada.

So will you cross into the US via land border, or fly in from the Canadian airport?
Fly

Why do you want to fly into Canada, instead of into the US? Seems an unnecessary expense/step if you are only going to fly out a few hours later.
German citizens do not need anyway.
There is no direct flight and because it is close to the state we need to reach. We have both had several bad experiences in the past when flying to the East Coast. One ended with over 30 hours of bus travel with multiple changes etc.
