  1. Hello, my mother had her immigrant visa interview a month ago. During the interview, she was informed that one document was missing, and they kept her passport and instructed her to send the required document via DHL. It's been three weeks since the document was sent, but we haven’t received any updates yet. Does anyone know how long it typically takes to receive your passport back with the visa attached after sending the required documents?
  2. Where can I show them the printout? Is it done by submitting an inquire form?
  3. Hi Fe.Ta! Thank you so much for responding! I am sponsoring my mother for an IR5 visa. Everything is already approved except my birth certificate. My birth certificate is from the city of Buenos Aires, and has all the requirements stated on the Argentina reciprocity which is the digital signature, and the verification code. Additionally, the birth certificate is accompanied by an apostille from de La Haya, a translation, and it has its own apostille as well.
  4. Hello, everyone! I'm currently facing an issue and could use some advice. I recently received a response from the NVC regarding the civil documents I uploaded, and unfortunately, my birth certificate was rejected. The message I received stated: "Please replace this with an acceptable birth certificate from the correct issuing authority." I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar experience when submitting an Argentinian birth certificate to the NVC? My birth certificate is an official digital copy with a digital signature from the government office, along with a verification code, apostille, and translation, as specified in the Reciprocity Schedule for Argentina. Do any of you have any insights on what I can do in this situation? I followed the guidelines precisely, but my birth certificate still got rejected. Are there any fellow Argentines here who might have encountered a similar issue and can provide some guidance? Or perhaps anyone else has an idea of the best way to handle this situation? Your help would be greatly appreciated!
