I am in the process of brining my mom here to live with me. I got RFE for my birth sertificate. When i called NVC and ask they what is up since i never heard about this one before they told me it is a new thing and now they going to ask for original birth sertificate of petitioner...
if i just knew that before i sent everything in! i told them that they have translated and sertified copy but they said it is not good enaugh. they told me they not even sure if they still have it since i filed it with original I-130 with INS and not NVC.. so, i ordered another notorazed and translated copy that going to be overnighted to me today. so, one i get it im going to mail it in.
SO, before sending your DS-230 in make sure you dont need to mail your birth sertificate as well...
