  1. As of end of August 2024 Embassy in Ankara is working on DQ December 2022 cases.
  2. We have been waiting for a year now and still no dates!
  3. We are DQ'd and it has been almost a year... and still waiting... you have long way to go. Just continue your daily life, go for a vacation etc.
  4. No news, waiting and waiting... Our DQ is 08/30/2023, we are close. Where do you live, where your wife?
  5. DQ'd 08/30/23 and no other info since then. I am curious to know if Ankara is super busy.
  6. August 30th 2023. No interview letter yet as I am posting this on 01/29/2024. It has been 5 full months.
  7. I have a friend who is a chaplain with federal clearance. He mentioned that he contacted the embassy on behalf of his son, and they promptly invited him for an interview within a few days. I'm unsure whether this is true or if he's being dishonest. He seems very proud of himself and frequently discusses the advantages of having federal connections or even the exceptional strobe lights in his car.
  8. Priority date June 8th 2022 May 30th 2023 NVC received our approved our immigrant visa petition from USCIS. On July 17th 2023 we requested to add a joint sponsor. On August 21st & August 30th we were asked to submit our sponsors W2 forms. On August 30th we received a message saying "All required applicant documents have been received." Since then... NOTHING! It has been 2 months with no communication. I emailed NVC and they responded what you would see below... This case is documentarily complete, which means the NVC has all the documents we requested. Your application is waiting for an interview appointment, where a consular officer will adjudicate it. The U.S. Embassy or Consulate provides the National Visa Center (NVC) with a list of available appointment dates and times. We will schedule your case for an interview appointment when an appointment date is available. We schedule appointments on a first in, first out basis. After we schedule your appointment, we will forward your case to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate General in ANKARA Although NVC strives to schedule appointments within three months of NVC’s acceptance of all requested documentation, this timeframe is subject to the operating status and capacity of the consular section. Currently, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, most consular posts are operating at a limited capacity as they work through a backlog of immigrant visa applications and scheduling may take significantly longer. We cannot predict how long it will take to schedule your appointment, but we will notify the applicant, the petitioner, and your attorney (if applicable) when an appointment is scheduled. Your case will stay at NVC until that time. I am a US citizien living in the US and my wife is from Iran living in Turkey. The interview will be in Ankara Turkey. Are we suppose to count from the date NVC received our case from USCIS on May 30th 2023 or the day where they say "All required documents have been received" on August 30th. One was 5months ago and the other one was 2 months ago... and we are waiting... What do you think about our timing? Thank you all!
