  1. Hello,

I got a little screwed up biometrics. I was supposed to get my biometrics done on the 15th.. but since I didn't receive the letter till 14th.. i got it done on the 13th already. I went to Santa Ana office on the 19th of Dec just to make sure that my biometrics are on file since it was done earlier than they were supposed to be.. and they told me that biometrics were received by them on the 14th of December, a day after it was done, and today (the 19th of december) my name check has been cleared.. I received an interview letter for Feb 13th at Santa Ana Office.

Does this mean that if approved on the interview there would be no FBI clearing left ? Have I already cleared it or there is any further clearance required?

No, That doesnt necessarily mean that. Our VO told us we had been approved but that we would have to wait for our Namecheck to clear bwefore we could get our greencard.

  2. It's been over a year since we filed for AOS and we just got our letter saying our interview is 1/11/07. It's been so long since we filed that I've forgotten what we need to bring to the interview in terms of paperwork and support materials. Can anyone tell me if we've left anything out? (I am petitioner and my wife is beneficiary. We were married 10/28/05.)

    1. My wife's passport with I-94, EAD card, travel authorzation, SS card,

    2. My passport, driver's license, SScard

    3. Our son's passport, SS card

    4. My wife' birth certificate (translated), my birth certificate, our son's birth certificate

    5. Copy of our marriage license

    6. My income tax return for 2005 (W-2's for 2006, if I have them?)

    7. Copies of last 3 months of my pay stubs

    8. Copy of our apartment lease.

    9. Copies of our last 3 joint bank statements.

    10. Copies of our last joint investment account statement

    11. Copies of last 3 joint credit card bills

    12. Letter from my employer on company letterhead stating health insurance coverage for me, my wife and son.

    13. NOA2

    14. Questions:

Does my wife need to get a new medical exam? Or just an updated record of her vaccinations?

Do we need to bring any photos, cards/letters, that kind of thing?

Did I forget anything or get anything wrong?

Any and all input is welcome and appreciated.

I have heard of people having nightmares over this stuff. Our VO glanced at our paperwork and then approved us. Of course we are now waiting for FBI namecheck.

Your stuff looks good to me.

  3. I check our Online status from time to time, and for the past 2 years it has said basically the same thing. It says our case is pending due to Namecheck.

I checked it today and got something altogether different. Tell me what ya think!

"Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

    Current Status: Fingerprints review completed.

Review of the fingerprints taken relating to this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS has been completed. Processing of this case continues. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our MISSOURI SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. I cannot find Missouri Service Center. Is that the Kansas, Missouri SC office.

Not real sure this is great news but it has to be better than no news.

  4. we recently traveled home to Ireland, and Anthony also did not have his I-94. No one asked about it at all until we were ready to board the plane, at which point, we explained to the girl that it was taken because he was pending his adjustment of status. she looked confused, and then sort of shrugged her shoulders and let us on the plane.

you'll probably be fine. just be sure that you take all necessary paperwork along. you'll need your Advance Parole, and if you've changed your name since your passport was issued, you'll need a copy of your marriage certificate as well. also, you'll probably want to allow extra time at the airport--especially for the return trip! it took the airline employees FOREVER to verify what, exactly, advance parole meant.

so sorry to hear you've had so many snags along the way. i hope you have a great vacation, and that when you return home, you'll find that greencard waiting for you!

    DO NOT TAKE THAT CHANCE!!!

  5. Hi all,

We filed for AOS for my wife on 7-2004, did all the biometrics and other requirements. My wife had an interview 2-2006, She was told by the VO that she had been approved but they were still waiting for her Namecheck to be completed, and that she would receive the "Approval Letter" soon. It has now been 6 months and still no "Approval Letter" or Greencard.

Is there a way to contact someone and speak to a live person to ask about this. My wife is eager to work and her EAD has expired. We don't want to spend more money on the EAD if the Greencard is coming soon, as they say, lol.

I need a telephone number to call to ask about this.
