  1. Congratulations! And thanks for the info. Did the embassy instruct you to schedule the medical one day before the interview, or was it just a result of the embassy informing you of the interview so late? Asking because the medical clinic told me (long time ago) that they usually schedule an appointment 2 weeks in advance of the interview date.
  2. @ggh297 is your interview still scheduled for November 14th? Just wanted to ask if you had any changes. And good luck if it hasn't been rescheduled.
  3. @MasterCarrot you mentioned you have an interview on December 5, which is now less than a month away. Any updates from the embassy by any chance? Not sure if anyone noticed, but travel.state.gov has had an update (red alert right at the top) for Israel since at least Nov 4th, where they say that "The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem and the Branch Office in Tel Aviv have resumed appointments for regular passports and other consular services. ". However, the Embassy's site still says they're not offering immigrant visa services, which is contradicting. Curious which one is more correct (rhetorical question).
  4. That's totally fine with me, as long as they can provide an opportunity for an interview in the near future (next 3-4-5 months). Our NOA2 was issued 4/19, so you can imagine it already expired in August, so it has to be extended, but we really don't want to push it past 2 extensions (passing the 1 year mark) because anything past that is an unknown territory where we could be turned around to redo the whole I-129F approval process from the start. Just trying to play this safe.
  5. That might be a good alternative! By slow you mean it takes time to schedule an interview or something else?
  6. We've got an interview spot for December 19th a couple days before the whole thing started. Not sure if we'll transfer to another post, but hopefully Jerusalem's embassy will start processing visas some time soon (I'm probably being very optimistic here). Does anyone know how many times can an immigration officer extend the validity of NOA2? I read somewhere that it was 2 times, up to a 1 year total, but I'm finding a conflicting information now. The reason I ask is that maybe waiting several months (& being rescheduled) is better than trying to transfer the case elsewhere, considering that we already have an interview date.
