We mailed our concurrent 485/130/131/765 filing on Mar 27. USPS said it was delivered to Chicago Distribution Ctr on Mar 28, but never delivered to the lockbox destination. After a million calls to USPS and a missing mail search, we just accepted that it's probably lost. Today (Apr 19) my wife received emails from USCIS, logged into her account, and saw receipt notices for each form we filed, dated April 1. Great news -- USPS is just incompetent! However, the checks still haven't cleared. When I called and spoke to a USCIS agent, he said that the cases are "pending payment" or something along those lines. And that I may want to contact my bank to ensure everything is fine or it'll get rejected. I called Chase, everything is fine. I thought they wouldn't even scan the documents without payment? Has anyone else received NOA without the payment clearing first? If so, how long did it take for payment to clear?

Hi all, first post 🙂 My understanding is that if you file I-130 online, you need to wait to receive the NOA1 and include that receipt notice when filing the paper i-485 packet. SimpleCitizen told me the current wait for this receipt notice is 3-12 weeks, which seems absurd... I've seen threads here saying it took 1 week. We wanted the convenience of the online I-130 since we can upload all the photos / evidence easily, rather than mailing it. But we don't want to miss the April 1 deadline for the old prices. We won't have a marriage certificate until March 16-20 since the wedding is March 11, so we can't file anything until then. Too risky to do the I-130 online? Thanks in advance.
