Hi i just got a Nikon 10 megapxl camera with 5x optical zoom, got it for $179 at BJ's. It is so small.

Just got back home from my in laws house,

The mail that I received from USCIS is an interview letter... on Jan, 20, 09

I have enough time to prepare documents I need on that day ...

How's everyone in job hunting? hope for success to everybody..

OH My God..

MY mom in law just called me last night, she told me I have a mail from USCIS..

But she did not open it, so now I'm hoping it's good news we are going to their house later,, and i am nervous.

I am still at state of shocked after what happened to us yesterday.

We just bought a car for me yesterday (1/4 is out of my hardwork eheh-i'm proud of it) it was a great deal for a nice car & low miles.

After we brought the car home, supposedly I will drive it, but decided not to bec. it doesn't have insurance yet. So, we headed to the restaurant to advance celebrate my birthday and for the newly bought car I had (as b-day gift), i was so excited.

They want me to drive, so that I will be confident in driving, and OH MY GOD>>>> somebody just pulled up from shopping center and wanted to turn right, wanted to merged into my lane, without looking and hit us :crying:

I was on the right lane, and I am right of way,,, it was so busy on the left also, I tried to avoid here, but it was too late..

The lady's car was wreck completely.... the front,,bumper

My dad's car was wreck also in the ride side passenger seat and the tire... It was a disaster.

I was shocked.. It's my first accident, and I am not expert driver yet...

I cried.. and don't know what to do.... the good thing is, nobody was hurt and it was not my fault and it's her insurance co. who will pay for the damages.

I was so scared....

The temp agents are slow too - they dont have any job orders Some of the job fairs - peeps just show up at their booths without having job openings??? Crazy time w/ the economy Is depressing staying home with no incoming $ but I'm still here checking out this forum now and then

hi have you tried Craigslist? I got my part time job in there..

Lots of scam jobs in Craigslist, like they will post Administrative Assistant, but it's really a work from home job..

but you can really tell which is legit.

And then I got my full time job in the website of a company, I just clicked careers.

I created a profile in careerbuilder too.. but I did not get any interview from there.

John and LIndsey, i have capital one credit card too but i was just added by my hubby's account, so it's not really mine... Can I apply with my name only? This credit card co. is great because when we used it in international, they did not charged us at all, as long as you will pay on the time. I'm not sure if other credit card co. are like this.... (I don't like using credit card before, I prefer debit card) but now it seems needed here.. for credit etc...

Yes, you should be able to apply in your own name, especially if you already have some good credit from being on your husband's one. Just go to their website and look for the credit cards for people with little/no credit score. I don't like using credit cards either, but as new people in the US, we need to build up credit so we can get mortgages/loans etc in the future, and credit cards are really the only way. When I have a job and a credit score, I will go back to mainly using debit cards, I hate thinking that I owe money!

Just keep on looking and looking..I just went to SSA office today to get my SS card, they gave me a letter stating they would need to verify the immigration documents I presented and after verify they will mail the card to me. Is this what happen to all?

yup, it was happened to me also, so don't worry, they will just mail your card in your address.
