  1. What has been your experience with sending regular emails thus far? Has this approach been effective? Has the embassy provided any negative feedback, such as a request to refrain from sending more emails?
  2. Disclaimer: I am not an expert! If a WoM is NOT dismissed, the embassy apparently needs to expedite the visa process (if not obligatory, they seem to try to make a decision faster). Thus, an embassy should be able to expedite if they think it is necessary. I personally think that politely contacting embassies should not have a negative impact on your visa application (unless experienced people here suggest otherwise). Also, former visa officers at Argo (see their YouTube channel) strongly recommend contacting the embassy to ensure your application is being actively reviewed!
  3. I have a background in STEM, and my work in the US revolves around AI... I might be wrong but I believe the officer made their decision when they asked about my immigrant petition (the last question).
  4. I recently had a H-1B visa interview at the US Embassy in Ottawa, Canada. I had an employment offer from an esteemed university with a start date of October 1st. My interview went smoothly and I thought I could get my visa issued. However, I got a blue slip (administrative processing) and the officer said no additional document is needed. They only kept my CV and a translation of my military exemption card and gave back my passport and the I797 approval document. I am wondering whether my case has been sent back to the USCIS given that my I797 approval document was given back to myself. Should I expect to hear soon from them? Does anyone have experience with the US Embassy in Ottawa regarding AP?
