  1. Thank you for this! The reason we ask is because when I try to sign in to the account, it automatically sends a verification code to my old phone number. It doesn't allow me to get that verification code by e-mail and we would like to get in to the account as one, I find it to be useful and two, I may need it if they ask for further uploaded evidence. We're definitely using the right receipt number, though I think I found out where we've went wrong. We were submitting a ticket to get a new online access code whereas only one OAC can be given per account, so actually we should have been selecting "get your verification code another way". I think this will definitely help out and it'll all be ok. Our state senator got back to us with an information privacy release form today so hopefully we are on to a winner here and he can expedite it for us or even just see what's going on. Take care!
  2. UPDATE: We are trying a new option to get in to the account I believe only one Online Access Code can be granted per receipt number and so I think ours was being dismissed. Hopefully this new way will work!
  3. I can't have them sent through text as the number associated with the account is wrong, and I had tried multiple times to change it. My husband gets incredible anxiety when it comes to anything green-card or USCIS related and so he was incredibly worried that I couldn't get in to my account - I wasn't bothered. I try to do these things to ease his mind. We have submitted another ticket after learning that only one online access code can be granted to one account and are trying another way. The email to the state senator was made just to try and get a move on with the case in general - not to get in to my account. Thanks.
  4. Hey all, Me and my wife have been living together and married for two years now in the USA, and have been waiting to hear back from the USCIS since Nov 6th of 2021 (no word from them as of yet.) She got a new phone number, and needs it changed to sign in to the USCIS website. We sent in a support ticket, asking for a new online access code. They said : "After careful review, we were unable to generate a new Online Access Code associated with the Receipt Number you have provided. Please ensure you have provided the correct Receipt Number and/or email associated with your case and that the old Online Access Code is not already in use" We called and asked a real person on the phone, they said they would put it through to the proper department and we would be contacted in 7 days. Same response. We contacted them again on the 4th of October, same response. We've now been trying to get them to change her phone number since the 4th of September with no luck and continually the same responses. We're now beginning to think that if they can't find her from the receipt number then something must have happened to her application and we're kind of freaking out about it as we've been waiting this long (669 days)… When we type the receipt number in to the case tracker it still states that the case is under review. What should we do in this situation? We have already contacted our state senator in VA and are awaiting a response. We can't try to get in with the old online access code, and we would like no more texts with the OAC to be sent to the wrong person that has the number now. We filled out the online access code form completely correctly, double, triple checked with A numbers and receipt numbers, the lot. Thanks!
  5. We have decided not to contact the USCIS at this time, as you guys have said it appears they are just -really- backed up. Thank you for the help!
  6. I never applied for an I-130, my husband applied for an I-129F and it was approved. I came over to the USA on a K1 Fiancé visa and now awaiting news/approval for AOS (I-485)
  7. Hi there, it says "On December 16, 2021, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number (removed). USCIS has begun working on your case again. We will send you a decision or notify you if we need something from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."
  8. Hi everyone, Needing a little bit of advice here and would appreciate any input on what to do next. I moved to the USA from the UK on a K1 Visa on September 1st, 2021. We got married within the 90 day timeframe on October 15th, 2021. We filed for Adjustment of Status on November 8th and an RFE was requested on November 18th from the USCIS (we believe it was due to scanning the papers incorrectly on our part) which we promptly addressed and resent the same day. A biometrics appointment was also scheduled at this time which we went to successfully. The response to the USCIS was received and they "began working on the case again" on December 16th, 2021. We got a social security no. and a temporary work visa as we had asked for both of these in the AOS. Apart from this, we have heard nothing for 646 days regarding the AOS. Should we now try to contact the USCIS about this? We seem to have waited far longer than others we can see. I'm having a hard time not being anxious about it now. Thank you in advance for your advice. Edit: - My AOS should be being processed in Norfolk, VA. From what I can see, there really isn't that many AOS green cards that get processed there. Should my wait be this long for this location?
  9. Hi there, My wife (UK) came over to the US in September of 2021 on a K1 visa and we got married that October. Her interview at the London embassy went fantastic and after the Covid19 restrictions lightened up she finally made it to the US. Life has been amazing for both of us so far. We promptly filed our I-485 and we’ve been waiting ever since. I barely squeaked by on the financial requirement for I-864, so we got one of our friends to be our joint sponsor. Fast forward to today. We still haven’t heard back about our application. I just got a new job making about $41.5k, however our joint sponsor lost his job last year and only recently got employed again. My wife and I have gotten so tired of waiting and we really want to have a baby, so we’ve started trying now that we bought our own house and I have a better job. The plan is to bring all my pay stubs and an employment letter showing that I make well over the financial requirement. We also have another friend that makes about $39-40k that is happy to be a joint sponsor. Will this level of income be enough to satisfy the interviewing officer? I’ve been thinking about it so much lately and it’s made me incredibly anxious. I’ve been losing sleep and can’t get it off my mind. I guess I’m really just looking for reassurance for our situation. We’ve been together since 2014 and really wanted a baby, we couldn't wait any longer. Do you all think everything will be OK given the circumstances? Thanks in advance for your responses and input!
