  1. Hello, I thought so too but they only accept the order in Japanese Yen and when we called they said they only gave them out in US dollars.
  2. Hello, thank you for your answer. I am trying to figure out to get that certificate but its proving very hard. I have contacted the japanese embassy in Sweden and Los Angeles and the Swedish embassy in Japan and no one can help me. I have been researching but still have found no way to send the fee in japanese currency to japan so I don't know what to do
  3. Thank you for your answer. 1. I did contact the municipality but the instructions they have given me (all in japanese) to pay the fees are to send them either postal money order or cash , but postal money order doesn't exist anymore in Sweden and it is illegal to send cash by letter. They asked for copy of my passport, proof of address and to fill out a japanese form from their website. And payment of fees of course. I or my parents have no documents except a copy of a japanese form that was filled out by them to report my birth but this is not applicable (as told by the japanese and American embassy). I have no other documents. 2. I am not sure if it is so or not. 3. Yes it does state my correct place of birth.
  4. I am a swedish citizen and got a 221g for the k1 visa. Reason being i was born in Japan because my father was working there at the time and they are requesting an orginal Japanese birth certificate. I have no way of obtaining one and have called every embassy and tried but to no avail. If anyone can help me in this matter please contact me. I was born in Kitakyushu, 2003 and both my parents are swedish citizens. We do not have any copies of a japanese birth certificate and I did provide the american embassy with my swedish birth certificate (personbevis 120 alla relationer) but it wasn't enough.
  5. Woho! Im so happy for you. Congratulations !!! 🥳
