  1. Hi,

We had our adjustment of status interview in Houston October 27 (2008) and we (I) were approved. I have not received the 10 year green card yet, should I worry or would it take 60 days? (I tough it would only take a couple of weeks).

Congratulations BBAN! I hadn't seen that you had been approved after your incredibly long wait!:dance::dance: Did you post an interview experience too somewhere?

For what it's worth, my GC after AOS took 3 weeks from Houston - seems to be partly dependent on the local office too.

    Hi,

I have another question, my status (on the USCIS webpage case status) have not been updated after my interview, is that normal?

yes thats normal, if I were you Id stop looking at it entirely, they update is randomly i think, well, at least my status didnt change at all until i finally got the physical GC in my hands, seriously just relax and stop thinking about it and next thing you know the GC will be in ur mailbox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for your support, it easy to get a little stressed about this issue. Have a nice weekend

Thanks, yes I just announced my completion of my interview under VSC VSC I-751 status list including transfer from Texas. The interview went very well. The adjuster just took us trough the legal portion and then she asked if we broth some documented evidence which I handed over (joint over ship of our home and mortgage, one joint savings account, and both name in my healthcare plane). After that the adjuster asked us about our professions, and then I was adjusted, it took only 10 minutes. The adjuster printed out a Approval Notification, which conclude the adjustment and that I will receive the I-551 card within a short period.

This was on October 27, and no card yet, I guess I have to wait 60 days or more??

BBAN - congrats. during my interview, when the IO was approving my case, he said that it would normally take up to 60 days for me to receive my card but for some reason i got it in few weeks, so it all depends, just relax, everythng is over and you will have ur card sooner than later...

Thanks for your reply, to got worry after 4 weeks of waiting for the card to appear in my mailbox , but I think in my case it will take 60 days.

  7. I put in a service request. My confirmation number for that ends in "csc". does that mean they sent it to California? I thought we were in Vermont!

Wow, now maybe dallaschic's post from a couple of days ago makes sense -- she said she had been told she was transferred to CSC. Maybe VSC has gotten rid of all pre-September I751s and dumped them in California. Un-freakin-believable. You'll have to start a new TSC-VSC-CSC Losers thread if that's the case. Unless of course CSC decides it has too many I751s and convinces the USCIS bigwigs to let them send you to NSC, which doesn't have any right now. Then NSC will claim overwork and will send you to TSC where you began.

OMG!!! I hope that is not the case!!!!!!!!! poor BBAN and baunzerbrudi!!!! they are going to go nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m past going nuts,,, I’m mad. I just called USCIS as well for more info, but they can't give any valid feedback.

  8. why? why is there no action? why did they skip May? why do I have to be the first to hit 14 months (except dallas)? why are they approving their own september filers? Every time I check my status the nice "process cases in order we receive them" comes up. So do you really?

Seams like they are on vacation. I’m also checking few others around my number but no action. This delay doesn’t make any sense but waiting is we can do, until we are outside process time, at that pointy I will contact the congress man again.

  9. So I called USCIS today and the dude I was talking to tells me that my case is in California. I told him that could not be right because I received a letter from them telling me they were transferring it to Vermont. Well he seemed pretty certain that it was transferred to California and even told me that it was probably an error that they made in the letter but my case was in California....So now I have no idea where my case is..I thought it was Vermont unless they just sent out a whole bunch of letters that said Vermont but actually sent some cases to California as well.....WHO BLOODY KNOWS!!!

Did they give you any explanation why you haven’t been approved yet?

  10. when playing around with my receipt no I find a LOT of unapproved cases near my number. I dont think they re all interview cases. There simply is a batch that has been left on the desk for a week longer than others!

Do you mean that you were denied? We have been denied the removal of conditions... and do not know why. We applied in March 07 and just found out we were denied. Never had a biometrics (which we paid for... probably never get that money back?!?!).... all we got was a transfer to VSC letter... then nothing for a long while.. and then called to find out what the deal was and they said they sent a denial letter in April 08 (we we NEVER got).

They told us it would take 60 days to get the file from the records center (can't remember the real name) and then they would re-send the letter explaining why we were denied. This has been so incredibly frustrating.. we submitted a good application... tax receipts, bills, insurance records all with both our names. We've been married almost 3 years and are doing the right way and are still having issues... so frustrating!

Also... online and on the phone recordings it still says it is 'processing'.

Sorry for complaining.. anyone have issues like this?? Why would they deny us without even doing biometrics or anything??

We won't know anything for 60 days... so another wait begins!

Denied even without an interview, how is that possible when you are married and live a married life together? That’s mean that USCIS have reviewed you paperwork and maybe specially the wedding certificate (I guess) and come up with the conclusion that your married is not valid? The only reason I could think about is if you have been married before and the divorce document is not valid??? But this is very strange.

  11. I just got my (second) I-551 this morning, first time I got a 6 mnd this time a 12 mnd. I asked way ,,, you will be called in for interview the next 2 to 3 mnd. Does anyone know if that will be schedulet only by mail or do we get a email as well?

they told you that you will have an interview???? and in 2 to 3 months?????

I was told that we are going have an interview (after I asked about if there are any holdups with my approval) and that will we reseive mail in 2 to 3 mnd.

It is hard to believe that they will call you for an interview, because when I went for my stamp (1 day before my approval.. ironic) I asked the lady if she could tell me something about my case, she even showed me the computer and everything she could access regarding my case and all she could see was my transfer to Vermont and my last touched of 02/26/2008 fro biometrics.... so how in this world they told you that you will have an interview if they can not see it!!!!??????? So.... I don't think you will have an interview I think this is just an speculation because they need it to give you an answer.

I hope that is the case (standard answer),,, but the only consern I have is: my first I-551 stamp was valid for 6 mnd, this time they gave me 12 mnd. that maid me feel I was up for a long ride,,
