Mali ata ako, when i got that email i assume that's the date when the case got completed so it was just two weeks ago but it says on the letter it was July 2013. I'm confused, sensya na. But it took time for them to approve my petition coz i think it got caught up with the heavy load of petitions when Obama announced the special instruction similar to "dream act". Tagal din coz it has been more than a year already and we thought it's gonna get delayed again with the government shut down.

Just updated my timeline...hopefully mom can come here on Thanksgiving day!!!!

This is frustrating, two days ago, I got an email from NVC stating my CC and attached is the interview letter for my mom set on October 3, 2013 at 6:15 am. Then we got all excited coz it has been more than a month since I submitted the IV package. So I instructed my mom to print the interview letter and gather all the necessary requirements. Well I didn't expect that I would get a call from NVC saying that they made a mistake and that I should disregard the interview letter....arrrrgh! I asked him how long should i have to wait and he said there's no definite time....so he hang up and I wanted to make sure so I called NVC to double check. Same thing, they apologize for the mistake and asked me to wait for the interview letter

Thank you for your reply If it's not too much to ask, how about on Part 6, where I have to list down the tax year and total income, should I put $0 too or write down my husband's income? thanks again

I'm about to file our AOS for my mom's petition. I have no income, my husband filled up the I864A already, he's in the military and we have joint income taxes, I know it's common sense but I need to make sure, in my I864, do I need to put in the tax year and total income? And should I also submit two copies of our taxes? It's a little confusing for me, I hope someone can help. Thanks in advance.

Just called USCIS and talked to a Tier 2 officer ( a very nice lady) after trying so many times . Told her that could she make a service request for my cases because it has been over a month and contacted NVC with responds. (NVC still don't have my cases). She did help me and emailed the CIS office to send my cases as soon as possible if they did not. I may get a respond by March 17.

OHHHHHHHHHHH I feel much much better now. If you are in the same situation CALL THEM NOW. DON'T WAIT!!!! DON'T GIVE UP!!!! KEEP CALLING TILL YOU CAN SPEAK WITH SOMEONE THAT CAN HEP YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I called NVC yesterday and yes they still don't have my case, I think we have the same time of approval. I was told to scan my approval letter and send it to NVCResearch@state.gov with the USCIS case number as the subject. Hopefully they'll be able to straighten up the problem/s that's causing the delay.

I now got my corrected instruction from the local USCIS. All fixed, thanks for the guidance and goodluck to those who are still in this journey.

I know it's kinda odd that it happened to me. It's not really a requirement but they approved it almost two weeks after I submitted my mom's birth certificate. I've read somewhere here that it was an old way of processing the i-130 so if you live here in Reno, most likely they'll be needing your parent's bc too

Actually they transferred me to an ISO, I don't know if the ISO couldn't fix it at that time that he had to guide me in submitting in an e-service request on their website. But his voice was noticeably bad that he had to say sorry for it.

Update on my case:

I called USCIS again and they said it's a mistake on their part so they had me file an e-service request on their website. I wrote down what happened and asked for the correction then I got a receipt number. In my case it's a typographical error K hope this will help for future petitioners who'll have the same situation.

Thanks for the replies. I'll call the NVC later coz when I called USCIS, the rep just want me to contact NVC since it's an approved I130 already. He even doesn't have the contact number of NVC and even told me "I assume you know the address of nvc?" He wants me to snail mail my questions

myimmihelp: I sent the petition August 13 then got an RFE Jan 25 (they asked for my mom's birth certificate) then on Feb 11 they approved it.

I recently got our approval (NOA2) for my mom's I-130 but it says on the notice that my mom is currently in the US and that she should obtain the form I-485. How do I go about this when I definitely filed my I-130 stating that she's not in US???? In another paragraph of the notice even states that I should file form I-824 if my mom decides to apply for a visa outside the US. I checked out the form I-824 and it's asking for a $400+ fee. Now I'm confused, kindly help please......

We're on the same situation, but my husband is not in military though, he's working in Iraq. I never heard of anyone who went to interview alone, and even if there is, we might get a second interview (with the spouse then), since our GC application is marriage-based, our spouses has to be there. I wish my husband can come home, but he really can't. I think infopass is the best way to get clear answers on what to do.

I have one thing to ask though, how do you get an infopass? can I just call USCIS? or I have to go to the local office? I don't know

You can do it online, search for the local office in the USCIS website and it will show you their available schedule Hope we can reschedule our interviews, goodluck to us!

Hi everyone, just an update, I got approved last Dec 30 for my AP and EAD. Too bad I didn't get the chance to use my AP when it was BADLY needed, (Dec 26 my dad's funeral)

I understand that you need to wait for one to three months after the vaccine to get pregnant, to prevent a deffect on the child, but my question is more regarding if anyone that had already the vaccine had problems in getting pregnant, more regarding the fertility, as that is what I have been reading some articles about, that they are suspecting some effects in fertility.

So I wanted to know if someone that got the vaccine got pregnant easily or have had problems after the vaccine.

Hi itzy, I had my MMR vaccine last July and got pregnant on August. I don't think it has an effect on fertility Not for me, now that I'm 4 months pregnant

I applied for SSN last week with my married name, showing them only my marriage cert and passport. They didn't even bother to look for my birth certificate, maybe because my husband was in uniform and the social security guard let us jump 70 entries waiting for their turn...my bad...Funny thing tho, when i applied for a driver's permit the lady got confused coz she wondered why would the social security accept my married name when I still have no green card proving I'm married. She didn't even care about my marriage certificate, she even said, married or not, without the green card i would have to use my maiden name still...oh well it's pretty messed up...

Hello everybody We got married here last October 10, I'm just wondering coz i've read somewhere here that we need to report the wedding to USCIS...not the AOS application... are we suppose to call them or email them?

I took the Manila-Vancouver-Las Vegas flight, we stopped on Vancouver for just an hour and a half to refuel and we weren't allowed to go out baka kasi maiwan ng plane hehehehe.
