  1. Oh, the AR-11 issue. We went to the post office and put a hold on all mail to the "family". The post office took more then a week to process it and they screwed up the address, then took another week to correct the address.

I can safely assume the letter with my wife's N-400 appointment date got bounced back to USCIS. I can only hope they didnt get the letter back and declare my wifes as "abandoned".

I think Ill call the USCIS right now and ask about that.

  2. Well, it would be considered bribery...UNLESS you create your own political action group and offer a "donation" of a million or so.

    Then its perfectly legal.

Anyhow, my wife's N-400 interview is set for August 26th and we were told she will be added to the October swearing in queue IF she passes the test...which she will.

So, I assume that by the end of the year she will have her U.S. Passport.

  3. We submitted our tax returns with the original N400, will they not have them at the time of interview? I think Ill run down to the local IRS office and get another set of tax transcripts just in case!

Good luck at the interview! I have not seen many "I failed my interview" posts on visaforum, so maybe its all just the same old procedural nonsense.

  4. Ok, the bad news first. Got another call back from the USCIS local office. They could not verify with 100% accuracy that the AR-11 address change has been fully processed.

The good news is, they were able to look into the computer system and give us BOTH our N-400 interview date (set for late August) AND our swearing in timeframe and location of October at Missoula, Montana.

My wife should have her US passport by the end of November.

  5. Well we just moved to a smaller/cheaper apartment pending our escape from America. We called the USCIS and did an address change, and we mailed in the form as well.

We assumed the mail would forward along to the new place, but we assumed wrong. I have a bad feeling the interview letter has been sent, and we were informed that those letters have DO NOT FORWARD stamped on them. God, I can only imagine how badly the local office will screw this up.

We may have to take a trip there physically to get this issue settled. We did request that the post office start a "hold mail" for us but who knows what will happen.

Anyone had any issues from an address change? Feedback is always appreciated.

  6. From looking at these posts, I dont feel too bad about my situation. We got a biometrics letter within a few short weeks of filing our N-400. I assumed that since we were not told my wife cleared the FBI check within 15 minutes, there may be a problem.

But it looks like the problem is actually getting a biometrics appointment to begin with. Well, its ONE problem among many with the USCIS. I sat and thought about it, and I have basically decided that since my wife does have her 10 year green card, we will no longer limit our plans for the future.

It would be good if she gets her passport before the end of the year, but if she does not, were still going to Canada. The complete and total collapse of America will most likely happen shortly after the November elections, and we plan to be long gone by then.

  7. Well, I am glad yours is moving along well, but I have a weird feeling were going to get hung up on the FBI. I cant help but wonder how many others here are stalled on FBI.

You and I share Nebraska as a service center, but your St. Paul local center has a claimed processing time of 8.6 months, and my Helena, MT local office has a 5 month processing time. So, I should be able to use your timeframe and assume that we will have a interview letter within a month.

When we get it, I plan to request an early interview and swear in. Cant hurt to ask.

  8. When my wife had her I-751 biometrics, we were told 15 minutes later that my wife cleared the FBI check. She just had her N-400 biometrics and when we got home the next day I called the local USCIS office in Helena, MT and asked to verify that my wife had cleared the FBI check. The IO called and she said the FBI checks take "a couple of days". I informed her that my wife cleared FBI within 15 minutes last time, and that surprised the IO. Then I was told we will get a letter in a week or two stating my wife cleared the FBI.

Has anyone gotten a letter about clearing the FBI? Also, has anyone had any problems clearing FBI? I hope we dont have any problems at this stage, because I would imagine the FBI being even more difficult to deal with then USCIS.

    Thanks in advance!

  9. Ok, my wife had her biometrics this morning. The USCIS lady said it may take 1 to 2 years to process the N-400, and that the local office has no ability to change appointment dates.

The USCIS local office processing time news release dated April 22, 2008 says Helena, Montana has a 5 month average time.

Anyone have any input on this?

    Thanks in advance!

  10. So using that logic, we can assume that if some random person on the street steals your wallet, calling the police is "useless retribution"?

The matter at stake here is protection. To protect himself, his child, other men she might to try marry then extort money from, and the US taxpayer thats going to foot her welfare and medical bills.

Not taking action would be completely irresponsible. Females in America initiate 70%+ of all divorces and females are awarded child custody in 90%+ of disputes. The reason men in America are having their guts ripped out is because men wont stand up and do whats right to stop out of control females.

How much MORE abuse is this guy expected to take?
