Everything went smooth just like many peopelle posted here. Med exam was on 10/16/23 ( others in line did it a day before the interview, we chose to do it a week earlier). 
 

Interview was on 10/24/23. It took 2.5 hours with all the logistics but the actual apt was 2 min. We had all the docs and were asked for some of the originals. There were many people in line who were not getting approved due to the lack of the original documents. 

 

We got a notification 5 hours later that the passport was ready with visa at the pick up location.

hey there- I didnt see your question earlier. No, we got DQ’d within 2 weeks and then maybe 4-6 weeks after DQ got an email with IL. Btw- only my mom got the email I didnt. She wasnt even sure if it was spam when it came thru… please check all emails just to be sure. Hope you guys hear soon.

My mom actually got her interview date a week or so ago 🎉I guess I was just freaking out too much 🤦🏻‍♀️ and an interesting thing is that she didn’t even get an email, the lawyer and myself got it… but it’s all good and we are looking forward to the interview. Please post here about your mom’s interview experience if you can, ours will be in November 😊

We just got an IL for Nov 28 for my mom (DQ July 31)... Hopefully you either got yours or it's coming soon!

Ugh this is so frustrating! I sent NVC couple messages and got only the general answers.. We schedule appointments on a first in, first out basis. We cannot predict how long it will take to schedule your appointment.. 

Hopefully we'll get ILs very very soon!

I'm with you, really confused why is it taking that long. I thought my mom will get her appointment at least this year.  Maybe they have a lot more cases now to process since everyone is probably transferring to Almaty. I saw here one case (same IR-5) was scheduled within 4 weeks after DQ and I really thought that's the timeline.. Hopefully we'll get ILs very soon!

Would you mind letting me know how /where did you register for the passport with visa pick after the interview? I see in the pre-interview check list that I need to register for it but there is no info where/how to do it for Almaty.

Congrats Ineska! I was just wondering did you request to expedite an interview appointment by any chance? We're DQed on July 31 (IR5)  and still waiting for IL   So frustrating...
