Thanks for answering. I was just wondering what it is beause I never heared of "letter of acceptance" and Im preparing for my interview and dont want to miss a thing. It would be nice if you can share more regarding your interview experienced like what the consul have asked you and if you can give us some tips base on your experience hehehe... Im asking too much :-))

  2. During my pre-screening the girl was asked my BC and NBI and also the TAX return i give her 2007 and 2006, and she asked the Affidavit of Support and also pictures together. thats all she was asked.

She didnot asked emails and others and also the divorce paper even she was asking me if my fiance is a divorce or single i told her he was a divorce only once.

But some of the applicant during there interview with the consul they return there pasport for lacking of documents like divorce papers and letters of acceptance.

Hoping and praying the i receive my Visa soon...

    Hi!

    What is letter of acceptance?

Btw, congrats! I know your waiting :D .

  3. Mine is on 22nd of April.

    I have a few quesitons:

    1. When is the right time to pay for the Document Verification?

    2. Getting a medical appointment 2 weeks prior to the interview, is it considered an early medical appointment? Should I prepare for the request or it is given at St. Lukes?

    3. Is it ok to have medical during menstration?

    4. Forms DS-156 and DS-157, does it have to be printed out on the computer? or handwritten?

Thanks for any input. Good luck to all interviewee and see ya at the Embassy!!!

    Hi Violet25,

    1. Pay for doc verification as soon as you have your Manila Case Number.

    2. You can have your medical exam done anytime from 4 weeks to 1 week before the embassy interview. There is no "appointment" required. Just show up with required documents to SLEC. They handle all patients that come on a given day on a first come first serve basis. There really are no specific "appointment times".

    3. No. You should plan to have your medical exam at a time when you are not having your period.

    4. Computer. Also dont forget about 156K also it you are filing for a K visa.

    Warm Regards,

    Samby

Just a clarrification, is the Manila Case Number the MNL XXXXXXX that we got from NVC?

    Thanks TinTin and Samby!

  4. from what i read about this document verification, the NSO will just confirm the delbros that whatever the beneficiary will submit to the embassy is authenticated/verified by them or not. so even before we submit the hard copies of the cenomar and the bc on the day of our interview, the embassy is already informed that theyre not fake. so i guess the best move is we have to get our cenomar and BC at the NSO first before we pay delbros so when delbros verifies our documents, we already have the documents released by the NSO. i hope i am right about this info.

Not sure but I think it is NSO that verifies the documents and not Delbros.....they just collect payments.

  6. After reading the feedbacks of the people who called the USEM today I just remember what my fiancé has to say about the Filipino system, style and mentality.

1.The cab drivers in Manila doesn’t put down their meters unless if asked and some will insist to be paid by a specific amount. What’s the use of the meter? Some will give you a Manila tour so they can charge you high especially if they will notice that you aren’t from Manila.

2.Hotels has different tariff rates for foreigners as well as to some restor bar in Cebu.

3.If you dress nice the hotel, restaurant, malls staffs greets you and treats you good…make you sure you are comfortable in their place and you have everything you need. Some will just greet the foreigner as if you weren’t with them or were you invisible? hahahha

4.Calling USCIS and NVC is free of charge while USEM in Manila is charging so high.

5.And most of all, how can my friend complete her K1 processing and is already in States without having her papers verified at the NSO she was never asked to pay and she didn’t attend the CFO seminar that is required to every fiance’/fiancée. How lucky she was! Hassle free process. Ohh yes, she flew just a month ago.

  7. Hmmm not really.... I have read on the other website that they were able to pick up the visa without making a request and according to him...the key is to ask the consul nicely :D and some other couples did the same too.

But still, the majority of the COs won't allow you to pick up the visa regardless of how nicely you ask. Like I said, it is case to case basis... You can try but don't always count on it that your request will be granted. Do it like you're just trying your luck... that way, no frustrations and disappointments.

Thats right! but the Embassy doesnt says you cant request for visa pick-up.

  8. I just finished talking with a guy from USEM his name was Mike.....I was on hold for like 15 mins but infairness he was very accomodating and I was satisfied because my questions was answered clearly. But it still sucks because I dont have a qualifying date yet and so I need to call again....spend money again. They are not aware I guess how much you will have them on hold....who cares! they are not the one paying for it.

  9. The valid date don't seem to have any type of bearing on your case. The embassy entirely ignores it if your interview is scheduled passed that date. My NOA 2 date for K-3, which is the same as K-1, passed before my wife had her interview.

Oh yeah! Mine is valid also just for 4 months. Does it mean that we will have our interview before it expires? Just wondering....
