  1. To answer my own question: * traveling on 2/4 * made an appointment on 1/16 for 1/23 (plenty of appointments available) * applied in person on 1/23 * picked up my passport and naturalization certificate (in the same envelope) on 1/25 at the Passport Agency
  2. I had no problem scheduling an appointment at my local Passport Agency for an urgent upcoming trip using their online tool. There was actually plenty of availability. The tool is at http://passportappointment.travel.state.gov
  3. When applying in person for an urgent (<14 days) trip at an actual Passport Office, do they immediately return the original Certificate of Naturalization? Or will it be mailed back just as with an application through USPS?
  4. Yes, I had the actual oath ceremony the day after my interview, and have my certificate.
  5. I had my interview on 12/19 and oath ceremony the following day. But... my online account still shows the status of my case as "interview was scheduled", although in place of the estimated processing time it shows "case closed", and the documents tab shows the oath ceremony letter (form N-445). The last update in case history is still "interview was scheduled" from 5 weeks ago. Should I be worried or is this normal?
  6. Filed on August 18. As soon as I got the Biometrics Reuse letter shortly after filing, processing time was shown as 10 months. This morning I received an email “we’ve taken action on your case”, but the last update is still August 18, no new updates/documents, still 10 months. I guess something happened behind the scenes?
  7. Thank you for the explanation. Sounds like I was overthinking things indeed
  8. Hi, Long time lurker, first time poster here. I've been a green card holder for over 20 years. I just filed my N-400 online and within an hour received a notification that my biometrics will be reused. However, the last time I got my biometrics taken was almost 10 years ago for my green card renewal. I'm confused, because I would have expected to have my biometrics taken for my N-400 application. Did something go wrong, or am I overthinking this? Thanks!
