I was hoping for a nice e-mail or perhaps a letter in the mail, but no luck. Hopefully next week holds some more luck for me. Happy early 4th ya'll!

I feel like the bus is slowly pulling away without me lol

I'm thinking there are two different issues going on here. It is unlikely anyone can definitely prove/disprove the USCIS using "our" adjudicators at VSC & CSC to process these visas as well. Perhaps they hired temporary help or maybe those are just part of the regular flow of paperwork coming across their desk. No one can say for sure unless they have a way to find that out. That being said, the opinions regarding priority can be freely stated by those who feel to express them, however, others shouldn't take them as anything more but a person's opinion. We are all able to do so and I think people's criticism and feelings towards the USCIS is being misconstrued into facts, when they aren't and weren't intended to be either.

Sorry, that was more of a rhetorical or generalized question. Probably should have just left it out of my post. Agreed though, this is a place for help and understanding things. Being hostile is the last thing anyone should be thinking because no one wants to help a rude individual. Some have waited months and months for this process while others have married in the time some people have waited just for a NOA1. Where one lives, what service they served in, etc doesn't make any one of us more important or less important than the next couple.
-
What does spilling blood have to do with the OP's statement or this thread in general?
I'm content to keep waiting because I knew this process would take awhile. I just passed my 90 day mark and I'm not fuming or upset about it. If I still haven't heard a peep in a week or two, then I might phone the USCIS and inquire as to whats going on. Why all the hostility among us?

Funny you should mention that Jessica, because thats my last touch as well and nothing since then either. Granted that could have been them moving our files from place to place, but who knows.
So, it seems as though we still have a small band of us in the waiting room with the anxious April filers begging to get in.

I knew I wasn't crazy when I thought I made two profiles.

Maybe its just me, but of all the useful and valid "data" to include in one's signature timeline...the excessive # of touches people feel the need to include is just a LIL over the top I think. I've had a grand total of 1 touch and that was 1 month after I got my NOA1 and almost 2 months ago today.
-
Oh I was referring to the USCIS website, not Visajourney

I read it like a month ago about some people not having their online case status page updated regarding events. Perhaps I misread it, but I though that some had issues.
Thanks!
I'm pretty sure that Danielle and Justin (me) is the only account I've ever created. No idea about the other one right before us.

I tend to stay focused on work, helps pass the time. I check the mail in hope of a notice, but I don't go running to get it either. I suppose the less I get my hopes up, the more surprised I will be once it arrives. I don't rely on the e-mail/online case status site due to some people saying various things such as they got NOA2 and their online status months later still shows Case received and pending.
Good luck to those still left and the upcoming filers in April. Congrats to the March approvals!

Its both comforting and depressing getting so close to my "assumed" adjudication window of dates
I know its only an estimate, but I keep checking the mail every day for a nice white envelope from DHS. Here's to keeping my hopes up.

While waiting for NOA2, some days I feel like this:
Working full-time helps and keeping myself occupied with other activities and prep-work is going to help the process too I hope. Good luck to those recent lucky ones and here's a hoorah for the rest of us waiting

Well I can tell you that if you marry while in the U.S. on a visitor's visa, that pretty much rules out ANY thought of using K-1 visa method.
-
I suppose being from another country, it may seem unusual or not normal. However, in the United States, you can visit all of them without worry. I don't know if you'd have any problems with Alaska/Hawaii (being separated physically) but I doubt that matters. I DO see an issue with Puerto Rico, and trying to return after a visit.

I understand that and I hope I didn't come across too blunt, but those questions are easily/quickly answered by those who post them.
I did nothing special or different than most posters could do, thats my only point.

It still amazes me with the wealth of knowledge available on this site that questions such as these get asked.
While I can't provide an accurate answer, using the SEARCH at the top of the page for: Bogota Colombia Received
yield people's replies with 3 days generally speaking. Please try to use the tools available to you, as well as regional forums too.

SSN makes you eligible to work
HOWEVER
DHS needs to grant you EA (Employment Authorization) before you can legally hold a job.
The 90-day p.o.e. stamp I personally feel isn't worth it because at the end of that period, you must cease employment or face possible legal issues.
When you submit your AOS, you can also submit your EAD form and it will be no extra charge. I think the average wait time for EAD is around 60+ days, so plan on 2 months of "toughing" it.

Glad you got your question answered, but as a side note, please don't post in ALL caps...it generally "means" yelling in the Internet and personally I think it is also harder to read too. Just a courtesy

Regarding K-1 Visa general info:
The visa is a fiance visa, which was created to help ease the strain on the K-3 visa or spousal visa. It grants the beneficiary 90 days to marry once it is used. This allows for couples to "get to know each other" while still allowing them to be together legally.
Regarding visa approval:
You have a "Use by" date on the visa that is 6 months from the time of approval. So, if its approved May 1st, you must use it by November 1st. Make sense?
Regarding moving:
I do believe others on the board have sucessfully crossed the border with a Uhaul or some sort of truck with belongings. There is more specific information that you can use the Search for or ask others that might reply to this post. I think a list of what you are bringing is needed, but don't quote me on that. Whether or not you do it yourself I think comes down to what you can afford really.

As many have pointed out from various experiences, its better to be prepared and NOT need it, rather than the other possibility. Think of the scrapbook as a keepsake from your efforts of immigration and moving. Don't just toss it aside as if it were a waste. Sorry to hear that the medical expenses were high, but I guess its just another hurdle to jump in order to be with your loved one. We all are making sacrifices, glad to hear yours were worth the trouble.

Lol, case updates. As someone previously pointed out, their case still showed "Received and pending" when they had already received a NOA2 hard copy in the mail. At this point, I tend to just sift through the mail from time to time to see if anything is for me from the US DHS. Other than that, I'm not holding my breath

Its somewhat like "Do not push the red button"...so what do most people feel the urge to do?
On a more serious note, I think you will be fine. No worries.
Not sure if I was "touched"?

I don't have much faith in the online system. Some seem to receive numerous "touches" while others get 1 or 0 throughout their waiting period. Its nice to be able to check, but I wouldn't hinge hopes upon it unless you are sure of its information.
