  1. As per UN's rules the spouse has to change to G4 (check any of the UN orgs websites). Its EB2. But for people of Indian origin, the priority date has a backlog.
  2. Hello, I am looking for some immigration advice and wanted to schedule some time with an attorney. i had a few questions around legal coverage and initial questions - - My case - I currently have an H1-B visa and work at a FAANG (big tech). My wife is considering switching from an H1-B visa to G4 visa to work for the United Nations. From initial assessment , it seems like I need to switch from H1-B visa to G4 as well. My questions are around implications of the switch , including the below - - Do I need to switch from H1-B to G4 visa or is there any provision where I can retain my H1 visa? - I currently have a green card priority date of 2015. If I switch to H1-B visa, will I still be eligible for a green card when my priority date becomes current. If yes, then can both of us switch to a GC? - Are there any tax implications of my taxation as an H1-B holder vs G4 visa holder? we currently file for tax as joint filing today - For my wife (we are Indian citizens), what is the process and estimated timeline to switch from G4 visa to GC? Thanks
