    ya, very similar. assuming 2 parents?

    1. don't pay the AOS fee bill so fast - make sure that the two casefiles are joined up at NVC (there will be 2 seperate casefile #'s) and at some point in the online payment portal, the AOS fee bill will show stuff that it's one fee for two petitions (88 total, regardless on 2 or 11)

    2. need some extra stuff on the ds-230 - your birth certificate showing the parents names, and yer proof of us citizenship - even if you sent it off prior... their marriage certificate is useful, can't recall if it's needed exactly or no, but send it anyway, la .

    The new IV fee is definitely $230 now. There have been a few people who have gotten the new fees this past week.

    You should be getting your case number this week. If you look at the NVC spreadsheet I still have going (linked below in my sig), NVC is currently generating case numbers for NOA2 dates from mid to late March.

    I'm not sure you can send the DS-3032 by email until a case number has been assigned since NVC isn't ready for intake of documents for your case. Guess you'll find out soon when you get a response back in a few days.

    When I spoke to the NVC last week they said there will no longer be the $74 surcharge. The fee will be $230. NO more surcharge.

    I read it now... It is great to know!!! Some savings, huh :-)

    I got my NOA2 on 27th March and still waiting for entry into NVC. NVC is very slow these days. I think We will hear good news this week. God bless us.

    Loto, it's currently taking 3 weeks to get a case number assigned from NOA2 :( No more golden days...

    I'll wait for another week, as you said; it is for parents (IR5)...

    Oh, I had updated the IV fee in that document today as well :-)

    Earlier fee was $330 + surcharge $74 = $404

    New fee is $230 + surcharge $74 = $304

    There is no reduction in the surcharge.

    Actually they do not mention the surcharge on the site anymore. They have updated the prices to reflect the new changes and it shows up as only $230. Even the agents mentioned that it is $230 without a surcharge. We will all know once they release the invoices this week. :)

    As few of you guys are aware about our path of first K1,It was denied at New Delhi Embassy without giving any legitimate reason and We met twice after that; had an engagement ceremony, lots of pic. with family.. lots of more evidence. We are going to send a second K1 petition very soon and your thoughtful ideas will be a great help for us this time.

    Hi there! We sent out our I-130 on October 1. Received NOA1 on Oct.5, priority date Oct5. But I've just taken at a look at the G-325A I filled out for myself, and I have left out the start of present employment (which I filled out as unemployed) blank! I hope we don't get an RFE for this =(

    Most probably, you may survive. If not, it would be an easy fix with the cost of few weeks. Keep the fingers crossed!

    Thanks patience, now what do u suggest? Do u suggest I email chicago lockbox or wait for 2 days as today made the application 8 days since they had received it. I also called USCIS they told me to wait 10 days after the application has veen sent. They had received it october 20th and the 10th days would be october 30th. So what is ur suggestion? Thank u for ur assistance. Anybody can suggest as well. Thanks all

    Typically, NOA1 can take any time between 1 to 3 weeks from the filing date. So, wait is good plan now for you. In any case (approved or rejected the initial petition), you will be notified.

    Thank you Squib. I am being so impatient, 7 days after I did not receive any text or email yet. I just call moneygram for the money order we mailed to chicago lockbox with the I-130 and they told us the money has not even been cashed yet. What do u think guys? Did u use money order?

    Lockboxsupport@dhs.gov can answer questions regarding applications and petitions which are pending acceptance or rejection at the Lockbox, and those which have been rejected. Once your application has been accepted, the Lockbox has no information on the adjudication status.

    We received the green card today but it has incorrect date of birth, any suggestion guyz

    Please use the form I-90 to replace the GC. You may not have to pay the fee since the error is from the USCIS part. After filling the form, visit the local USCIS with Infopass appointment to submit OR you may mail to USCIS in the I-90 form, but explain the matter and in a cover letter and to waive the fee.

    My neighbor's Dad bought BB&T bank stock years ago for several hundred dollars, and now his investment is worth several thousand dollars........

    BBT looks good! If you buy now and sell by the end of 2012, current $27 might reach to $35 to $40. In the short term, it can further dip to $20. It is just my analysis!

    When it goes down, buy every month exactly same like 401(k) plan. Not only put in this stock, look for other sectors like Technology, Energy, Health, Materials etc. If you plan in a semi-long term, there are stock funds like XLK, XLE, XLF, XLV etc. The benefit here is even if one company in this fund stock goes bankrupt, the hit will be less. On the flip side, ROR will not be aggressive as well.

    If you looks at BBT chart, whoever invested back in 1998 at $25 is still same. 13 years and no profit!

    But one started at 1990 in this stock at some $3 or $4, made 8 times profit if they are holding still! 21 years!

    The same ROR is true, if one bought in 1990 and sold in 1998 in 8 years!

    Timing the market is the hard part!
