  1. thanks totally agree about the Filipino groups but as for my original question if anyone has a Los Angeles Superior court 50$ 'exemplified' copy of a divorce decree does it have any raised seals on it anywhere?
  2. thank you. anyone book an appointment recently and if so how many days out was the earliest appointment available?
  3. thanks so much for reply. online posts telling their story say many real certified true copies are being rejected by filipino pre interview document checkers in Manila USEM and we can confirm it is true from own experience Jan 2026. either untrained or making their own error or carelessness I don't know but there should be a system in place to check and know with certainty which states or courts use what type of seals, stamps, wet signatures etc so that authenticate documents that cost time and money don't get rejected and basically you're told to your face 'you are lying, this is not a certified true copy" sorry to vent but it really effects lives in so many ways when this happens and and official workers are rejecting if it doesn't have what they 'think' should be there but in fact they are not correct and don't have the knowledge or tools they need to make the correct decision. we hope to help others with this incorrect rejection that continues to happen because going back with the same papers and 'hoping' you get a screener with a different opinion or knowledge base is same as gambling so we hope to find how to avoid that. thanks for thoughts or actual ways to solve this.
  4. can't find any online so anyone actually have one and can you feel any of the stamps or seals same as a raised notary seal pressed into the paper anywhere any page? not the 'certified true copy' for 15$ but the 50$ 'exemplified' copy And actually same question for your State Apostille from Sacramento if you have one of those, mine is all flat stamps in red ink and wet signature but Manila is nuts. Thanks!
  5. was about 3 weeks off for us from what it said on scheduling tool. BTW anyone know if there is a way to check Manila rescheduling open slots on usvisascheduling .com or anywhere else without having to cancel your application and starting a new one? (seems it makes sense to see if next date open is before or after your current one but how to do that?)
  6. Petitioner not filed due to not meeting required threshold listed on IRS public website, assets meet IR1 visa requirements and seen many people getting visa with a letter explaining why not filed so just looking for a real sample that someone used for similar reasons, thanks;) Petitioner not filed due to not meeting required threshold listed on IRS public website, assets meet IR1 visa requirements and seen many people getting visa with a letter explaining why not filed so just looking for a real sample that someone used for similar reasons, thanks;)
  7. Anyone have letter you used and was accepted US embassy Manila interviewer? Thank you.
  8. I totally agree but the Filipino pre-screener checker at window 54 does not understand this. nor did their 'supervisor' , typical knowledge and training levels here, no wonder everyone tells me they are so desperate to get out.
  9. We showed the certified divorce certificate, with stamp on back of page 2 with wet signature of clerk, they do not have raised seals. The document is what the Superior Court says (over phone) is all they have or issue, which is a xerox print of a 29 year old piece of paper that is now only on microfilm. It is 2 pages long and titled "Request for judgement, Judgement of dissolution or marriage, and Notice of entry of judgment" by los angles superior court. So in section 2 it has the final judgment signed by judge long ago and section 3 is the notice dates and old signatures that it is filed with the court. There are no divorce certificates they told me, I guess meaning LA County and/or the state doesn't do make a 'certificate.' Very concerned because we will go back with SAME exact 2 pages they rejected (because it truly is the certified true copy from the court) and this time with a state Apostille authenticating the SAME papers (and that we were basically not lying that it is a certified true copy.) do you know anyone with the certified copy AND Apostille getting through or rejected? thank you

  12. thank you but as in the orig post this is the scheduling problem : "we are in the lot of the usatraveldocs site migrated accounts to usvisascheduling.com and some accounts did not get truly synced with NVC and therefore we think this is why the original appointment is not showing there (or maybe because NVC scheduled it and Manila consulate sent us the date/time by email.) only option in usvisascheduling.com profile is to cancel case and open new one but we don't want to get pushed way down line as a new case but rather have the ability to pick earliest open dates for our specific case. So we thought to use the manila consul visa inquiry form https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visa-inquiry-form/ and tell them we have apostilled doc now and please give us earliest appointment since they know we were just there at embassy. (and we have no scheduling option in usvisscheduling.com) Do you think we should ask for an appointment first on the inquiry form or use usvisascheduling.com and cancel our case and make new one and hope the appointment calendar option shows and hope it doesn't say "no dates available" and if there are then hope they are not 2 more months away after our medical exams SLEC expire?
  13. sorry I'm new and not good at threads and quotes etc but it seems now all the 4 posts/questions have been merged into one somehow so there are 4 original posts above each with their own question so any advice/reply to any or all of them is appreciated, thnx
  14. sorry, new here, CR1 yes we went for interview, did not get to talk to interview officer, just the document checker after you go in the steel/glass locked door and got 221g not for missing a doc but because they didn't accept our court signed/stamped (LA Superior court does not use a raised seal) certified true copy of California divorce decree LA County, divorce is 29 years old on microfiche and I had no original so I got the Arcdocs certified true copy which Embassy site says they accept but the filipino guard would not.) but question is not about the unaccepted doc, we now have an apostilled version to take to new interview date so we're asking about the two options to reschedule the new interview, described in more detail in the first post and the issue at usvisascheduling.com. thanks for helpful advice;)
