  1. I hope and pray your situation gets better, patience is key in these situations. If you have a USCIS account i'd suggest uploading additional evidence on form i485 part 8 section 61- 68 with regards to the public charge make sure you selected 'yes' and not 'no' and answer all the sections. This is what prolonged my process and gave me an RFE, maybe upload a new i485 and label it as section8 61-68 completed if you did not already answer that part correctly. I am pretty sure it will make your case for GC go a lot quicker. If you already answered that correctly just ignore what I said, just hope your situation gets better, cause i have been there also.
  2. I READ the letter but it is confusing it mentioned i need to complete the whole i485 pack again, and initial the changes, signed with date. I uploaded it online with changes and sent it off with priority. better safe than sorry when dealing with these people..
  3. Just a quick update on mine, I got an RFE about that whole public charge inadmissbaility answer... I answered 'no' instead of 'yes'. AM i allowed to upload the evidence onto the online portal as an RFE or will I have to post it out ? I have seen people upload and others post it so just confused around that area.
  4. Who knows, Maybe less is good lol.... Probably, but who knows why they keep reviewing, they can't even get the dates in order. Guess its another waiting game. Bets of luck on your case. hope you get something soon too
  5. hi everyone, congratulations to those who have been approved and got there GC. Was wondering if anyone else has received 'case is being actively reviewed' three times like i have. I sent an RFE in October 2023 and was received and i guess it was fine as it then changed to 'actively reviewing'. I then got an 'actively reviewing' in January a long with the infamous unreliable' MyProgress' tab telling me 2 weeks then 2 months and at one point it was 1 week lol So i recently got another 'actively reviewing' update this morning but before that it said they sent me an RFE but I havent received any RFE on the Docs tab or even by post which makes me think maybe it was a mistake and theyre' actively reviewing' it. Just want to know if it has happened to anyone or if anyone has information about the weird anomaly.. Totally sick of this process and regretting the K1 visa everyday, CR1 was always the better option but no use crying over spilled milk... Any help would be appreciated. I attached a screenshot showing what it looks like. They got the dates wrong, which is no surprise because they seem to get a lot of things wrong. Apparently March 9th is after September. It should be October 7th.
  6. Thanks for your help... I hope your situation gets resolved quickly. Honestly, cant count on USCIS for anything they just decide to work whenever and however they want to i guess..
  7. Hi all, hope you had a great time away for the holidays and congrats on all your approvals. My case status on USCIS for my i-485 has been going on a spiral for the past week or so... Constantly changing from '5 months' to '4 weeks' has anyone else had this happen to them before ? I have read on this forum that this means its a sign it will be approved soon... Honestly hope it is but at the same time jus very unsure cause its so strange. Any help on what it might mean would be appreciated, i just hope its not false hope.
  8. Its absolute rubbish don't believe anything the 'myProgress' tells you. My EAD 'Myprogress' changed to 2 months this morning but guess what.......... It was approved and I should be receiving it this week! Hoping the i-485 gets approval too and very soon at that. Keep your head up. and don't go off the progress just keep checking the 'Documents' section and you will find your 'standalone approval' sooner than you think ! All the best !
  9. Congratulations to your husband. Hopefully we all get something before the new years...
  10. Just don't believe USCIS time estimates that's for sure. They are incapable of doing there jobs but very capable of taking our money and putting our lives on pause. Hope you get something soon.
  11. Honestly, cant ever trust USCIS timelines they are extremely unreliable and always change... I hope yours comes soon then, i don't know how long its taking here in Massachusetts but i'm trying to be optimistic, just feels like K1 process all over again... Best of luck to you. Post your updates on this thread!
  12. What an absolute shambolic service USCIS is. It really doesn't need to be taking this long, they had that excuse of COVID-19 before but now i just think the service is just incompetent at this point. When do you reckon we'll get something ? seeing as though we had our Biometrics the same day we may have similar timelines.
  13. Hi All, Thanks for the info on this forum its really helping. My NOA for my EAD was 9/27 and my biometrics was 10/31 still have nothing for both my EAD and AOS but it says they are actively reviewing my case. on my online account the AOS states '5 months' on the 'Myprogress' section for my EAD it originally told me '2 weeks' until case decision on 'Myprogress' after my biometrics appointment on 10/31. 2 weeks went by a while ago and it is just stuck on : 'Your case is taking longer than expected to process. You will be notified if you need to take any action.' Is anyone else in this same position? I just feel like i'm stuck in limbo all over again. USCIS are insufferable they have no regards to us honest people who left everything, have came here legally, waited over 2 years and just want to get our lives back on track and off pause mode !
  14. Thank you all for your help. Just decided to send a copy of my DS-3025 from my medical, I had all the vaccines administered and signed off by the US visa medical centre in the UK, so i should be all set. Let the waiting game begin....
  15. @K1visaHopeful Thank you so much for your through and informative response, It really means a lot. Great advice, I won't add the I-693 or get the medical redone and vaccines signed off. I don't believe the I-693 is needed to be filled out unless you got your vaccine requirements done privately and not with the US embassy selected medical centre like I did. If vaccines were administered privately it would have needed to be signed by a civil surgeon in the US. Thanks again for your advice and putting my mind at ease during this stressful process ! Drive safely and have a great day !
  16. Hi everyone, Filing for AOS sometime this week and would like some information, I completed my medical in on 8/8/23 so it is well within validation, I had extra vaccinations done at the medical and can see all looks up to date on the DS 3025 which is an updated form (includes COVID vaccines), I arrived in the US on 9/6 and gave my K1 packet to POE as instructed which i believe contains my full medical report that is sent to USCIS. Upon reading the forums, i have seen filers get an RFE for not completing an I-693 and not getting a medical or civil surgeon to sign off there vaccines in the U.S even though they had a valid medical and vaccinations from there home country. Ideally, I thought K1 applicants don't have to complete the I-693 form and the DS 3025 was enough when filing , Am i wrong? I want to know if i have to get a medical or my vaccines signed off just in case? to avoid RFE and any potential delays. Also do i still need to complete the first part of the I- 693 form with all the applicant details? Any help or similar experiences would help me a whole lot and I would really appreciate it, thank you for taking your time out to read this also.
  17. Hi, Yes you can use the same one as long as it was taken within 6 months, I believe
  18. Great information, I just had mine and it was very much like what you described
  19. Hi all, My case is now ready and I have booked my medical and interview. Just wanted to say.... Thank you so much to everyone who has posted on this forum, you've all kept me positive and optimistic beyond belief and your messages made me feel like i was not alone or lost in the process. I wish and pray all of your cases go successfully and hastily going forward ! Thanks again... Osman.
  20. Thanks a million Pal! Absolute life saver. I've got both of mine booked and within two weeks of each other ! Hope you have an awesome week, really made my day!
  21. Hello all, Hope everybody is doing good. My question is somewhat London specific but feel free to chime in if you have any information, My case is currently 'in transit' and was wondering if anyone has managed to book there interview for K1 whilst there case has been in transit ? I have received an email that our case has been sent to the embassy, I have read the London 'welcome email' takes a while to come. the K1 interview booking website ais.usvisa-info.com has let me register and create an account and has given me the payment screen and from what I have read on forums on here : that interviews have been booked in the past while 'in transit' so long as the portal lets you book it. You can book it. I am unsure on what to do at this point, I am itching towards booking the interview but I am also anxious about doing the wrong thing, Please can someone provide an insight. Many thanks.
  22. Hi all, My case changed to 'in transit' just now. Very excited and nervous. ! I have to wait till its 'ready' in order to book an interview right? Hope everyone else receives some good news this week..!
  23. Thank you for this Sarah. I also want to give an extended thanks for all the help you've given on these threads, including the NOA2 thread ! Hope the rest of your immigration journey goes smoothly !
