There has been a really sad situation for all the F2B family visa category petitioners and applicants since July 2022. Today is July 2023, and the Visa Bulletin Table A has been halted for the F2B category for more than 24 months. There is no clear explanation about this matter from any official at the Visa Office at the DOS. All the other family preference immigrant visa categories have moved forward some weeks at the last Visa Bulletins of the last months. Unfortunately, in autumn 2021, some misinformation came from some YouTube live sessions where a now-retired chief of the Visa Office said that the Visa Bulletin would be unfrozen by early summer 2022. Sadly, for thousands of families around the world, that information was false and is the only one that has been said from an official source until now (summer 2023). During all those 24 months, we, the F2B petitioners and applicants, have seen hundreds of people from other family categories getting their immigration visas through consular processing in all our countries. In fact that the other categories were able to get their processes finished and we, as F2B, could not. This is not only frustrating but also discriminatory for all of F2B. Instead, the F2A was Current from 2019 to 2023 at Table A on the Visa Bulletin, by this way many cases F2B only elapse three to four years since petition until completion during this period of time in many countries. This is the reason that makes you think that all the excuses given as the delays due to the pandemic and post-pandemic restrictions on embassies and consulates only affect the F2B categories and not the other ones. On the other hand, by reviewing the F2B numbers of Republica Dominicana, it is found that the 7% per capita limit for all the countries is being exceeded. A comparison with the other three countries is attached as an image of this post for F2B during fiscal year 2023. As you can see, the F2B numbers of Republica Dominicana are ten times higher than the other three countries month by month. What is the reason for this? Why has the 7% per capita limit been surpassed for this particular country? Finally, the master question: when will we move forward again with the F2B category at Table A on the Visa Bulletin?
