Yes something like that. I think there has been 2-3 people adjudicated every week in July. Definitely an increase now then from the beginning of the year to now.

Yes, we had unsolicited update July 24 and another one today, August 1, which coincides with one year since refusal. I don’t remember if other people have had updates on their 1 year mark or not.

Does anyone else remember if when they hit the 1 year mark CEAC updated on that date?

Ok. Thank you. Ya we email the consulate every few months, and of course eventually get the standard reply. My husband interviewed August 1, 2023, still waiting. 😫

My husband is coming up on 1 year mark of waiting. Is there anything we need to do with documents or anything else to keep the file active?

We also sent an email end of April beginning of May and received the standard reply email May 22 with corresponding update on CEAC.

Guess you can’t see what category they’re in? My husband is CR1/IR1. Had his interview August 1 and the last known update we had was over a month ago.

I've been following this forum from August 2023. My husband and daughter interviewed August 1, 2023. Our daughter was issued her visa August 1, 2023 but my husband was refused and given DS5535/221G. We have only received updates to CEAC in response to our emails, which we send about once a month. Our last update in response to an email was February 22, 2024 But after seeing updates from others on here, I checked my husbands status and we also received an unsolicited update for March 28, 2024! Trying not to get excited, but it would be nice if it lead to something.

@throwitaway Oh, that’s not what we’re hopping for. The CO said she was approved and kept her passport. We have not received any emails from Montreal and my husbands and my daughters CEAC status hasn’t changed to anything.

@shara9c If I’m checking CEAC correctly there has been no change of status for either my husband or daughter. We however just received an email saying Montreal has released a document in regards to my daughter and it is being couriered to us. I’m guessing it her passport and visa. Has your CEAC status changed for your husband?

@shara9c They kept my daughters, but returned my husbands. No status change on CEAC yet. Have you received an email yet?

My husband had his interview August 1 in Montreal with our daughter. Our daughter was approved, but my husband was denied and given 221g letter for DS5535. Does the consulate email the form or do we use the one indicated on the 221g?
