  1. If I'm reading you right - W-2's are of no value without a copy of the actual income tax return attached. Are you saying you only submitted W-2's with your I-864?

yea I sent just the w2 with my I-864. The only other paper I have is my 1040A. So if I sent w2 again but this time long the 1040A form everything should be ok? Or should order the tax transcript? One more question..if I have all the tax returns done for 2008 with my wife in it, should I send them as well even though they are only asking for 2007?

Yes, if you provide the corresponding 1040's with the W-2's your good to go.

The transcripts are easier to provide, and avoid issues like yours.

You can provide up to 3 years if you feel it will help support your case. (or even more information)

So 1040A with a W2 will be good enough? This was their final request so I really need to sent the correct papers so they don't deny my application. Should I also sent my tax returns from 2008 which I filed jointly with my wife?

  3. To make the story short, we filed for AOS in october. Later my wife went to get her biometrics and we thought everything will go smoothly. Than in december I received a letter asking for all income tax documentation submitted to the IRS for the most recent tax year as required for I-864, Affidavit of Support. So I made a copy of my W2 form and mailed it next day. Today I received a final request for the same information. I already sent them W2 but maybe I should have sent something else? What papers do they need besides W2? I only have form 1040A, so should I just make a copy of it and sent it with w2? The note says it's the final request so i really need to be sure that I'm sending the correct information. Thanks for the help.

  4. So I took my wife to get her ssn# over three weeks before her I-94 was about to expire. The guy that worked gave us no trouble, even though we went after we got married. However, yesterday we received a letter from them saying that they can't issue my wife a ssn# since her Legal immigration status will expire before SSN card can be issued to her. I don't understand why, her I-94 expires on Oct 14th and that' exactly why we went there around September 29th. He told us that she will get the card within two weeks but instead of receiving a card, we got this letter. It says what we can call and have a different person review our case but today is Oct 8th and her I-94 is only valid for couple more days. What should we do? Is it ok to wait and get a card once she receives a green card or it's necessary to have a ssn# before we send I-485 package?

  5. She need to find a CIvil Surgeon to have the vaccinations that she had be transcribe to I-693 form. On I-693 form Part I (information about herself), then Part 2 Section 5 (for the vaccination part) and lastly Part 5 to be signed by the Civil Surgeon. He will then put the signed I-693 to a sealed envelope then you will have to include this with your I-485 application also add a copy of the vaccination document worksheet (DS-3025) that she acquired from her home country "the little paper"? Good luck

Civil Surgeon locator https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=of...office_type=CIV Make sure to tell them you're done with medical so they wont tell you to have another one. And with regards to vaccine requirements looks like she doesnt need it too. SO realistically, it will just take you about $20 for him to transcribe the vaccinations acquired to the I-693.

I just checked all our papers and my wife did not receive anything after her medicals, no DS-3025, nothing. The only thing we have a is her medical history from her family doctor in Poland. What do we do now? Please help

  6. I'm currently completing the entire I-485 package for my wife and I'm little confused about the I-693Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status. When my wife applied for the K1 visa, she did all the medicals but all the papers (the envelope that she wasn't allowed to open) have been collected at her arrival point in the US. All she has now is a little paper stated all her vaccination which is not even translated in English. I have no clue what to do in that case, should I mail the package wiothout medical proof or just send the vaccination paper we have. Is it common that immigration officer at the airport collects all the medical tests?

  7. Me and my gf which came on her K1 visa got married last week and we are going to the ssn office on thursday. I have couple of questions such as: what address do we use on the application? the one in US or the one on the visa (address in Poland), second do we use her maiden name like on the visa or the new name and a marriage certificate as a proof of that? I also read that we need a second ID but the only ID we have is her passport and her ID card from Poland. Would that be enough to get a ssn# and would the fact that we are going after a wedding be a problem as well? Thanks for all the help

  8. So we got married last wednesday and we are not 100% sure what do we do next. My fiance visa expires on oct 14th so we have to harry up. I know that we have to get a ssn# and I wil take care of it this week. What else do we need to do? I read that we have to file for adjustment of status but I'm not sure where do I mail the I-485 package and what fee do we need to pay. if someone could help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks

  9. My gf arrived at Newark airport last tuesday with no problems. Now we are starting to think what should we do next. I know that we can file for SSN after two weeks and we are also thinking about opening some bank accounts for her. Besides that what else can we file for before we get married. Is it possible for her to get a driving permit or a working permit before she gets married? Thanks for the help

  10. My fiancee called me to tell me the good news. The guy at the interview just asked her where I work and how we met. He told her that all the papers look very good and said she will receive her visa within 5 days. I'm so happy that our journey is coming to an end. i already booked the flight for July 16th and can't wait to see her. I want to thank everyone for all the help we've received and we will be back with more questions after we get married

  11. I just finished talking on the phone with my fiancee and she realized today that on her package 4 her last name is misspelled by one letter, instead of W it's N. I checked my NOA1 and 2 and the name is corrects. However on the letter from NCV the error exists. I think the NVC misspelled her name and sent the paper with an error. My question is, is that a majo isue that could seriously dlay the entire process? Our interview is set for july 13th. What should we do to fix that? My fiancee already sent an email to the Polish consulate and we are still waiting for the reply. I hope that everything can be corrected but can Polish consulate fix a mistake that was made by NVC here in US?

  14. So I'm putting together everything and I will be sending all the documents to my fiancee or her interview. I'm sending copies of the petition, copy of the check etc but do I need to send her a copy of my password ? Also do I need to send her the copy of the letters with our intend to marry which I sent with my petition. I know that I must send a similar intend letter with a newer date but do I send the copies of the older ones as well. Also If I'm using my dad as a co sponsor do I need to send a copy of his passport as well? Thanks guys.

  15. My fiancee just received her papers and the interview date today. The interview is set for July 3rd which I think is not bad considering that I filed the petition in March. I can finally say that We are almost there, finally. Do you think it is safe for me to book her a ticket for somewhere after July 14th or should I wait until she has the visa in her hand? What are the chances of having her aplication rejected by the consulate?
