  1. I am really stuck haha If we could go back in time we would have done the CR1 but it is what it is at this point..
  2. I’m aware of the timelines, at this point it’s nearly been 3 years. I would still be in the same situation because i would still need to wait a few more months then adjust status once we get married post k1 so no work or leaving the US either way 😕
  3. The most important part is for us to be together! My parents offered to pack and ship my things fortunately i was renting most of the furniture while waiting for this limbo to be over so i don’t have any appliances or big pieces of furniture to sale or to move!
  4. Hi Dana! i saw that today and i kinda knew it was not a good reason for them but at this point we aren’t even going to try to expedite anymore.. It wasn’t planned but it’s making us want to adjust while I am here in the US even more now that we’re expecting. That’s obviously if our WOM is dismissed… It looks like it will still be more months of wait either way
  5. Hi ! I don’t have reddit, but i know many of us in the Canadian dreadful AP forum are thinking about that option. Did the person filed a WOM ?
  6. Thank you so much wishing the same to everyone in the same situation 🙏🏽
  7. It was a DS-5535 early may! We filed around 135 days later.. hoping they won’t dismiss but we’ll see this week!
  8. Thank you so much Dana, you’re very kind! Wishing you hear back soon 🙏🏽❤️ Will definitely update about the WOM, this is the last week they have to respond.
  9. Hi! I have been emailing and everything! Also filed WOM in september and waiting to hear this week about it but noticing how they have been dismissing them so i’m bracing for the worse.. We have been in AP since may. We also have a consultation booked to talk about the aos route. Thank you for the info ! It’s hard to prove a state of mind lol
  10. Hi! Yes aware of the being stuck and not being able to work. I am just worried that they would think it’s fraud because of the k1 process when i really only planned to visit him for a few months and go back home.
  11. Hi everybody, my fiance and I applied for k1 2 years and a half ago were approved and interviewed. Everything went well but was put on administrative processing for months with no apparent reason (Canada). We have been ready to get married for over a year now not knowing that this was gonna take forever… i am currently on a visit in the US to see him and we just found out we are pregnant. We both want to marry asap not knowing how long this administrative black hole is gonna take, can we marry spontaneously right now, abandon the k1 and adjust status instead? I had no intent of marrying on this visit i’m simply here to watch his sports season just like every fall, as he’s a professional athlete. I’m aware it will take months but atleast we will be together during these times. Please share your experience or knowledge on the subject! Thank you!
  12. They just responded to me with this: Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. Your case was refused under section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act on May 8, 2023, and is currently under administrative processing. As soon as the administrative processing is complete, the Visa Unit will advise of the next steps if anything else is needed to complete processing the case. We realize that these extended time periods cause frustration to many individuals, and we are sensitive to the fact that the purpose of the immigrant visa program is to facilitate legitimate travel to the U.S. Nonetheless, the Consulate in Montreal, like all U.S. Embassies and Consulates, must adjudicate visas in accordance with the provisions of the law, and, in some cases, this involves extensive consular review and administrative processing. While we cannot predict when the processing of your visa will be completed, please be assured that the Consulate and the State Department are aware of your concerns and will contact you as soon as the processing is complete. We hope that this information is helpful in replying to your inquiry. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
  13. Here is the reason: The change from 90 to 120 days is very recent, the change occurred this Monday. Previously our waiting period after an interview was 60days. However we are constantly changing these time frames based on the fluctuating processing times. Currently the visa bulletin for the new month of August 2023 has retrogressed by 3 years. Where they were said to be processing cases from 2020 but will now be processing cases from 2017 due to the huge backlog. Based on this we decided to change our waiting period after an interview to avoid having the lawsuits dismissed for filing too early and not giving them an opportunity to resolve the delay. Which they probably would not resolve by then due to the backlog but it is still something we need to consider to ensure we get a favourite outcome
  14. My DS5535 was just the old email questions that i responded to on the same day of my interview. Also, i’m a K1 visa currently on the 2 months mark. Work visas being quicker to clear make sense
