  1. 1) I was born in Puerto Rico so that makes me a citizen from the day I was born. On the I-129F, question 10, it asks how I obtained my citizenship whether by Birth in the US or by Naturalization. I was not technically born in the US. Not sure how to answer. I think born in the US makes the most sense. Anyone out there born in Puerto Rico or and American territory that is not a state?

    2) I have a past criminal history going back 15 years. Can anyone explain or tell me if they have had past criminal history and if they encountered any issue when filing the I-129F? What would cause me to be denied a finace visa based on past criminal history? My criminal is history is not the worse in the world, no murder or anything like that and like I said it was 15 years ago.

    3) Also does credit history play a part in the I-129F proccess? I am going through foreclosure and was wondering if that would be a cause for me to be denied. I have not filed for bankruptcy. Should I avoid filing for backruptcy while I do the I-129F process?

I only can help with 3) They will look at your income level only and see if you qualify, from what I understand and have learned, they do not look at your credit.

I never got one, and still does not show a "touch".... so I guess you can forget about that being a sign :) We are so happy!!! Now the wait is for the rest, and of course the interview... but I am not going to worry about that, I am so pumped!!!!! Angelica, I Love You Baby!!!!! And good luck to all, and thanks for being there during our wait :))))

  4. Hello All, We filed and received our NOA-1 on Feb-19, and I see people that filed in March in California are receiving their NOA-2's.... is there any rhyme or reason to this process?? Someone must know something as to why it seems like we are being passed over.... maybe I need to be more patient, but I have to tell you... I am really getting bummed. Just some support from anyone would be great.. John

  5. Hi All... it is close to my NOA-2 God Willing... and I make a mistake I think. With all the work, and the care I took in putting together the petition, I failed to make and "exact" copy of all I sent. I think I have it all in my head for the most part, but is it imperative that the packet I send to my finance be identical to the packet I sent to the California Center? What if I miss something that I had originally included?? Anyone??? Help?? Thanks, John

  6. We received our NOA-1 Feb 19th, and no news yet.... what drives me crazy is sending my Petition from the Mid West all the way to Cali and then wait, wait, wait ...while it seems all around me are dates of people receiving NOA-2's. It makes me worry that something is wrong with mine, maybe I filed it incorrectly... I don't know... it's just hard. We get excited because the dates are bouncing all around us, and of course Vermont is going like gangbusters (which doesn't seem fair, but what is in life) and here we are still waiting... it's hard to get all pumped up, then slow back down and wait... you know? Good luck to all us Feb people,,, maybe someday we will hear the mailbox calling :innocent:

  7. Maybe a really stupid question, but I have to ask.... Is there ANYTHING that would cause my wife to be forced to return after the Visa was approved, entered the country, and we are married? Once we are married, she is here with me forever.... is this correct? I mean, outside maybe a divorce in a month :)) of course I am kidding about the divorce, but I am curious about this. We get married and stay married.... my job status, my support income changes, or I go to jail.... none of these things (I dare say) would never happen, but the question remains, and with answers is knowledge, and knowledge is important. Thank you, John

  8. I place I-129F on the question, but actually the question was refering to the G-325A. Sorry..

Hello all, smile.gif the kind of work I do is for a large Corporation. The corporation is broken into 6 divisions. Mideast, Midsouth ect... all have corporate addresses, and each location within the 6 Divisions has addresses.... I manage a location in Indiana, for the Midwest Division that is located in Chicago. But the Main Corporate Headquarters is in Birmingham. My paychecks come from Birmingham, so do I use this address? The reason I am concerned is because when I fill out the I-134 support form, the letter will more than likely come from my HR department in Chicago, with the Corporate letter head and all... but the address will be different... Not sure how picky this is going to get. Thanks, John
