I payed 220$ for permanent resident card (USCIS immigrant fee) on February 1, 2023. Entered U.S few days after on February 4, 2023 through JFK airport and got stamp with Alien number on my passport. It’s been 108 days since I entered and there is no update on my green card. The status as of today is: “Immigrant Visa fee Payment received.” I’m getting a bit worried and wondering how long does it take to say “Card is being produced?”
here are important notes: When I entered I wasn’t referred to secondary inspection, which was odd because my two children who entered previously were taken to a room where they verified the address to send green card and social security which they received few years ago. I asked the officer for it but she said it wasn’t necessary. Well, after one month of entry, I still didn’t had my social security card and went to their office where I found out that I wasn’t even in a system. (I am 100% sure I indicated on DS-260 to share information with social security office) I fixed the social security situation and got my card two weeks later. Now I’m worried about green card, is this wait time normal? It says it shouldn’t take more than 90 days but I know it’s USCIS, how should I go about this situation?
