  1. Hi guys!! I am getting ready to send my i751 package as my green card expires in january. I am concerned because my husband has not filed 2021 and 2022 taxes and now is getting ready to do so. My question is, could we submit like a PDF of the submission itself or should we wait and get an official transcript from the IRS? Getting it may take up to a month i have heard and dont really want to risk it. Thank you for your help
  2. But i mean the process in general to get the green card interview not the extension letter, i am sorry i am confused
  3. why would it take 4 years? Would it take 4 years still if I was married and filing jointly or only because filing separately?
  4. Thank you so much. All of this process would take around 2 years correct? Also, while in the process of waiting for the green card which can take years, even though if I applied for ROC with this waiver, could I leave the country (to visit family) ? or it is not advised until i have green card in hand.
  5. thank you so much for answering. I am still trying to understand how all of this works. okay, so if I file next month the I-751 jointly, then after that package is sent I can re-send a divorce waiver? the waiver is kind of like another document/form correct? and doing this they won't ask for RFE? i have not filed for divorce yet but will soon. i just did not know if i had to get divorced first to even apply for I-751 or I can get it going. I am sorry many questions I am just trying to understand. Thank you so much
  6. thank you so much for answering. by the time that i "need to file" you mean January 2024, correct? i know i can start it 90 days before that... how does one send it as a waiver?
  7. Hello guys! I came to the USA with a k1 visa back in 2020, got married, received a conditional green card on January 2022 and will expire in january 2024. I think I can apply for ROC as soon as next month, but my husband and I are not in a good place because he cheated and I am thinking of getting divorced. I am just not sure how to proceed now, should I apply for the ROC with the divorce papers, can I send my application first and then send the divorce-proof (because idk how long does it take to get a divorce and want to make sure I apply for ROC asap) how would that work?? He has no rush to get divorced and told me we could legally stay married if it makes it any easier, but I do not want to lie / I want to be honest, especially if it takes years to receive the new green card... please help. I have never even gotten divorced before and I have no idea what to do with this procedure. My green card expires in january.
  8. Thank you so much! Is it safe to travel overseas with that letter though for let's say a month?
  9. Hello guys! I came to the USA with a k1 visa back in 2020, got married, recieved a conditional green card on 2022 and will expire in january 2024. I know I am still early but I wanted to know what are the next steps to take? I know we can begin the process of removing these conditions as early as 90 days before the expiration date, but I am curious about the timeline for approval for this new permanent green card and whether an interview is needed. It also worries if I will not be able to travel overseas to see family while I am waiting for the new greencard, or work in the USA. Sorry if this is overwhelming but I am looking for some guidance! Thank you!!!!!!!!
