How long ago was the former K-1 petition, and how long have you know this petitioner?

Hello guys!! this will be my second k1 application as beneficiary..things did not work out with me and my prior fiance...but i had all the necessary papers with me in lieu of the cancellation...im just a little worried thinking that my previous K1 will affect my next application and will cause delay of the approval..hope not..im a little paranoid..what will be the possible consequences of my previous K1 application?any insights will be highly appreciated. thanks!

uhm... I got my daughter's passport without that form. i am a single mom too and DFA never gave me trouble. I am talking about DFA here in Cebu City

I will be securing a passport for my son and DFA officer advised me to bring with me an Affidavit of Illegitimacy for my son's status..I just wanted to solicit a sample format from your end guys because im planning to just type that by following the sample format then will just notarized it later since it's a lot cheaper than consulting an Attorney..thanks in advance for the extended help!!

1. photocopy of my passport-back and forth - good to have but not really a requirement from the beneficiary

2. signed G325A -4 copies

3. passport size and visa size photos - use 2X2 size photo, philippines passport photo is slightly smaller

4. authenticated birth certificate of me and my son( son will be with K2) - not really needed from the beneficiary

5. prepared letter signed by me for Question 18 at I-129 F form -

6. i have also with me an old CENOMAR issued last January 2007-its an old but im planning to send to my fiance as his reference only.. - not needed for now

If your respond for # 5 is just to describe the circumstances under which you met, i think you also need to include a letter of intent. You could buy a card and write your intent on it. That's what i used and it was accepted. My letter of intent was handwritten.

thanks haole! yes i signed 4 copies of G325..and an extra 4copies as reserve .. i did not prepare original letter of intent to marry within 90 days but i indicated it on my letter (I-129 F question 18), but i can prepare it now..can i use yellow pad paper and just handwritten it ? thanks a lot...

THat will do. You don't need the birth certificates with the petition though. Make sure you have an original to show at the interview as well as a copy or two.

thank you so much for all your replies..the ex fiance previous application was officially cancelled.. So let me clear pls, i will admit it to the Consul later on if the previous petition will be mentioned..but if my current fiancee will file me a K1 do need to write YES OR NO?(with the question- EVER APPLIED FOR A VISA TO ENTER THE UNITED STATES)? sorry im just a little confuse to what will i write..thanks for your direct answer...god bless

Petition and application are not the same thing. Please pay attention and stop using the terms as if they are the same.

Did you personally deliver or mail a visa application to a US Consulate or Embassy abroad?

A G325a mailed to your fiance to include in a petition filing is not a visa application. Please pay careful attention to the question. If you were never invited by a Consulate or Embassy to actually apply for a visa, then your answer is no. Even so, you current fiance should probably mention the earlier petition.

I've explained this now three times. Until you pay attention and answer the precise question I'm asking you, we will all be confused about whether you ever applied for a visa. I'm not going to ask again.

It's better if you tell the truth. However, having a petition filed in your behalf is not the same thing as "applied for a visa". For the readers, this is why you see me reminding people so often that "filing a petition" is not "applying for a visa".

To the OP, if your case got to the Consulate stage and you personally filled out and delivered a "visa application" to a US Consulate abroad, then the answer is yes. If the case was ceased prior to any "visa application" the answer is "no".

The petitioner may want to address the prior petition and its status in their cover letter.

no one can really tell how long it takes but for the most part ur pretty safe to assume about six months........
