  1. :luv: Babes!!! I miss you guys!!! You should have just packed up and come here! We all miss you (Angus too...he adores you!!) although Nour might be sad without her bf Odai... So funny how much she liked him!

I'm happy you are feeling better! (F)

    I'm home free too...hubster works Friday nights...so I'm chilling w/ babies and watching/listening to youtube videos.... :P

Sounds like a lovely night in with the babies! :) I ended up heading out to Bed Bath & Beyond to get a tub stopper, I wanna take a nice hot bubbly bath!! Ended up also getting a new shower rod, which turned out to be too long.... DARNIT! (I can't measure for #######!). Then headed over to Ross and picked out a pretty RETRO looking shower curtain ... ya know brownish/orange/beigey hues... thought it would match with our bathroom which is pretty gnarly. Haha. I just put in the hooks so tomorrow I shall exchange the rod for a shorter one. *sighs* (Still using the guest bathroom shower).

And yes, I should have just come outta there.... I don't think I'll be up for the drive tho with all the Meds in moi. Wish flights are cheapo, I would have taken one out! Is the weather cooler out there now?

Hehe about Nour and her bf.... my hubby.... that totally rocked, I was like :wow: "How did you get the girl so quick? Geez, I gotta watch out for all those girls!" hehehe.

I'm a little restless this evening, it's my first "alone" time in a long awhile.... just myself... no hubby and most especially no Punk :crying:

Good evening MENA! I haven't really been around the past few days. Studying...

Also, yesterday my younger sister (a freshman in high school) found out that a girl she's known from junior high and was good friends with in 7th grade, passed away suddenly. The autopsy confirmed that she had a case of H1N1 but that the main cause of death may be a genetic artery defect (but they're not sure). I was super saddened by this---one because this happened at the same high school I went to not too long ago, so it's so weird when things happen so close to home, and two--this is a young, lively, happy, loved, 14 year old girl--I couldn't imagine something like this happening to my own sister. Her name was Michelle Fahle, if anyone has the chance, look up the group made in honor of her on facebook and pay your respects to a girl that died far too young. :(

On a completely different topic... I was totally craving tiramisu and finally god my hands on some... yum.

But the real GOOD NEWS is that I got this job I realllllllly wanted! So super excited about that (thank you god!). It took so many applications, resume/cover letters to finally land a position in my own field. Seriously I think I applied for like 30 jobs, got 2 interviews, and was finally given one offer. It's so hard these days. I wish you the best of luck J+I... I really pray that you get offers during your upcoming interviews, I know how hard the process can be.

About the weather... man Chicago sucks.

M -- that's totally terrible about Michelle. They say usually the ones with underlying conditions are vastly affected. I'm so sorry for everyone who is close to her and knows her....

    CONGRATULATIONS on the new job!

  2. Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooongggg time no see or read!

Happy Friday. Hubby's in Canada and will be back after a week there. It's kinda lonely here for me..... especially during my "recovery" time from the double-whammy flu & cold bug I got over a week ago. So after seeing the doc Tuesday took Weds off to be all drugged up and slept in until late afternoon. Since I've been back at work Thursday, I'm a speed devil on processing invoices. Haha!

How are ya'll!?! Annie, miss you and the family (and Angus!)!!!

Oh, who said "naps?" I haven't had one of those since.... gee whiz, I can't remember!

Jax, glad to know you're safely in the Northwest! Hope one of the other 3 spots you've staked out hires you, I'm sure they will!

Ok, I'm off wondering what to do with my free Friday evening... hmmm....

  3. That's shocking to me about Dubai...of all places I'd think they'd say yes first! But Morocco is even better..cool!

As for racy...for sure at ME standards.

I remember dying of embarassment watching with my father and one of the raciest scenes/lines was when Samantha notices a grey hair "down there" after a shower, deciding to dye it to make it disappear. Unfortunately, the experiment goes wrong, and she accidentally dyes the hair a bright orange. Stuck with "Bozo the Bush", Sam chooses to shave it all off, telling Smith that she did it to make it easier for him to find things during intimate moments.

Needless to say, we never watched the show again together. :P

Oh wow!!!! I forget the name of the episode but there's one where Samantha's new hottie has the worst tasting, shall we say "aftermath". Someone recommended that they eat celery and voila, problem solved.

    it really does work!

The episode is "Funky #######". I watched that one with mom. I was laughing so hard, not cuz it was funny, but..... :P

Its pineapple. Celery won't really work as well.

    Me- SATC fan!

  4. *jaw dropped!*

HR flat out discriminated against both you and your husband!!

Yes, find a new job! I also think something needs to be done about what happened to you. Make a case of it, tell the labor union and lawyers exactly what was said. I am beyond appalled by their reaction. So sorry about all this unnecessary drama in your life!

    *hugs*

  5. Amanda,

I just read of your situation at work. I agree with all the suggestions made. Definitely apply for the new opening (you already did - great luck and blessings!). And contact the labor union and definitely get some lawyer consults (I hope you hear from the ones you contacted already). It's very good to keep every evidence and record you have. Maybe if your co-workers who were involved in that conversation do not mind, have them write a quick note that backs you up regarding the claims. Do you have any sort of evidence regarding your co-worker bringing in her husband? I suggest maybe if there is a guest book kept at the receptionist, get a copy of that page.

I understand its stressful, disencouraging, and you're ready to leave. Just definitely take care of what needs to be done. That kind of record should not be kept on your file, especially as it was unfounded (HR obviously did not follow up with you in the proper procedure).

I will pray for you. Good luck, Amanda.

  6. Moh, I admire your profession of love to Trinia. It is beautifully written, and personalized. I hope the two of you meet very shortly.

Regardless if parts and bits were "borrowed" in the composition, it is the very thought and gesture that really counts.

  7. Ok - I see we are to bring all the documents and stuff listed on the letter. One of those being the medical. We didn't get a RFE, nor did we send in the form for the medical (just a copy of the paper he was given when he had the medical for his K1 in October)... Do we need to complete it? (our current doctor is a civil surgeon per USCIS - actually I picked him because of that and really good reviews! ;) )

  8. Hi everyone! Long time no see!

Hope everyone had a great 4th! Hubby and I both had to work at night (separate jobs). He didn't see ANY fireworks :( I saw some with my co-workers just outside the building (at the fairgrounds).

Now, I have a couple weeks of nights off.. yay.. So what do I do with all this free time?! Nap! YAY! :alien: <--- I look and feel like that.

Funny thing -- I was so happy that there isn't work tonight after my day job -- I seem to have bad luck at getting nails puncturing my tires! Yup, it happened today -- so I just calmly pulled over to the nearest Discount Tires and got a free patchup/tire fix job. SCORE! (didn't like the waiting through :P )

Nagi -- (F) I'm so sorry for your loss. (I do know there's cremation service -- if you're not sure still)

Olivia -- Have FUN doing what you want! The beach sounds nice.

Annie -- a 3rd puppy?! Quite the zoo indeed! :P Enjoy!

Everyone, have a great Monday evening! All the best ~~~~
